Think about it this way bah. Note 9 Pro replaces Note 8 and Note 9 Pro Max replaces Note 8 Pro. But the Note 9 Pro will be officially called Note 9S here apparently.

I have this suspicion that that this store maybe run by the same group of folks that runs the Mi Official Global Store on Shopee as well. The products available and the prices are almost the same.

China set, but Global rom, warranty not covered by Mi shop in Singapore.
Indian Redmi models don't have NFC. Same case for Redmi Note 8 Pro, global model has NFC, India model doesn't. So Indian models are not really a good indication on what we will get.

Have some good signs its local set
Its sealed and pre installed with singtel dash, lazada and hi card apps.....have yet to try the nfc

I just found out that if you turn on NFC and place a EZlink card or any that has NFC behind (top), it will give a sound. No need to go make payment or install apps. Quick test. Silly me.

Hardware is working. Software needs configuration.
Your configurations is impt. If you are using Google Pay, set the "Secure Element Position" to "Use HCE Wallet".
Under Tap and Pay, set
Default Payment = Google Pay
Use Default = Replace default app when another payment app is open.
The Use Default setting is impt if you are using payment other than Google Pay, eg Dash.
In this setting, you default to Google Pay. So if you don't open any apps, and you are in the say, Home Screen, the phone will use Google Pay default Card to pay.
Then when you want to use Dash, you open the Dash app.
If you have NTUC Link Points, you can also configure in Google Pay. If you do, then can talk about it. I had to take some time to understand and set it up but I've not tried it yet. The silly problem was that I have several Google Account on my browser and the instructions did not say must select the right Google Account. But you understand that the Google Account is behind the scene, so it's not obvious problem. I got my Link Point configure to another Google Account and couldn't find it in my Google Pay.
