RMN8P is QC 3.0, right ? I use AccuBattery to check the current and voltage

Currrent Varies, Max = 3A
But Voltage is always around 4-5V

I thought QC 3.0 is supposed to pump up the voltage so that it takes in a smaller current ? The voltage has never gone beyond 5V !

Any idea ?

Yes it support QC3.0. The total output depends on the battery %. If you have let's say >80%, it will charge slower compared to when your battery is only 10%. Maybe try using a physical USB voltage meter instead of software to measure the
.

Yes, understand the current / voltage varies as the charging progress. But the voltage never exceed 5V.

Don't have Physical USB V meter. I believe the software extract the values from the phone itself and not do any measurement, so I think (I think) that's the voltage the phone is using to control the charging.

BTW, what is a safe temperate that the phone should go up to when charging ? 41? 42 ? Still safe ?

My note 8 pro arrived today and the address from the website said it’s delivered to Singapore and I have mi receipt does it mean the phone is able to warranty with xiaomi Sg @funan?

I know nothing Beats going there to ask personally with the phone and receipt but prior me going to that, think see got other bro have similar experience

do it yourself. make sure room is clean, off the fan. make surface as clean as possible. use alcohol wipes or lighter fluid to wet the surface. after you are done do not remove plastic top, use card to remove all the bubbles

just curious, has anyone seen the double lightning icon Quick charge when using the charger and cable that came with the box?

i have seen mine appearing like 3 to 4 times after a month of use.

its erratic. when i see the 2 lightning, i unplug the cable and plug back in, the 2nd lightning icon disappears and is back to normal charging with 1 lightning icon.

2 lightning means it's quick charging. If you used the bundled charger, it should always be 2 lightning icons.

redmi note 8 supports fast charge ah. the bundled charger is not the fastest at 10w but still considered fast.

Yup both Pro and non-Pro supports Quick Charge. But only Pro comes with 18W fast charger. I believe the 10W that came with non-Pro will not show two lightning icons.

thanks for the clarification. yes, the non pro is a 10w charger. thats why it was strange occasionally, i see the quick charge icon. its random. appears occasionally.
