That is an official Xiaomi Store. Yes they send stuff from China, and yes the warranty is recognized here in Singapore. So no issues with sending from China.

As for price, it depends, sometimes this shop has offer which is cheaper than local store.

For example they just have a flash sale of Mi Box S at S$79, whereas the local Mi Store has the sale at S$89 (usual price S$99).

Still the limitation is basically they sell the same thing as the Mi Store here, much less than in China.

I checked the prices of Red White Mobile versus the Xiaomi Official Store Global on Shopee and found that the Official Store prices for Redmi Note 8 & Note 8 Pro are slightly cheaper (a few dollars). Both stores give the standard 1 year Singapore warranty.

Yes. Last time, I checked before. Same or slightly less. The Global Store is actually XiaoMi's stall. Same company, but seems like they don't follow the local store promotions. And they send from China.

I don't know the purpose of this Global Store. May be next time, they won't have local store anymore ?

This Xiaomi Global Store sells to global market and relies on local distributors for the warranty services. Local distributor still earn money on the services even if it is sold buy the global store.

Anyone on Redmi Note 8 Pro face extreme standby battery drain when left overnight? My data and WiFi wasn't on yet it drained more than 20%. No such issue on my Pocophone though. Need to monitor possible misbehaving apps.

To me physical store is still needed. Xiaomi was losing to Huawei / Oppo / Vivo for the past few years because of the problem of less physical shops. Once Huawei/Honor, Oppo/Realme and Vivo/iQoo boost their online presence, Xiaomi suffered big market share loss.

They have learned the lessons. So local Mi stores will still be there.

Yup. Prices are slightly lower from local Mi stores from what I have seen.

I got 64GB at $277 ($299 - $22 electronics coupon). Now got New Year sale on Shopee, $269 for 64 and $299 for 128. Tag on coupons should be even cheaper.

For Note 8 (no pro), I don't think I would exceed the 64GB. Is there any reason for getting 128GB ?
