but if you read properly, step 1 is to disable VOLTE...damn weird...disable and it work..

That is to disable the carrier check for VoLTE, because if you don't disable it then your Xiaomi phone can't use TPG VoLTE automatically as Xiaomi didn't have TPG carrier profile in their software.

NFC not a must. Using for games, and tanky battery life is a big plus. Dont really need camera. Never used a Mediatek Helio G90T or SD720G device before. How energy efficient are they?
Basically it's a decision on Mediatek Helio G90T vs SD 720G....

Mi Singapore Global store shopee got sale for Note 8 Pro now at 259

Mimi store got Note 9S at 249.

Since NFC not a must, I would say go for Note 9S, larger battery plus more efficient processor, will most likely be better than the Note 8 Pro. only thing is that base model for 9S is 4GB RAM, Note 8 Pro is 6GB RAM across the range.

There's no way to "wipe partition cache" for Miui 11? Using note 8 regular version.. switched it to recovery mode but it only allows me to "wipe data" instead... Which ain't what I wanna do..

And yea, I did Google but no positive results..

You have to wait for flash deal or event vouchers to get the deal, don’t think anybody can really tell you where or when .... you have to monitor this in Shopee, Qoo10, Lazada and of course Shopback.
