I think safer to get it from the official shopee store but wait for sale if you can.

I think depends on your luck. I'm the kind who doesn't like hassle. Even the official shopee store is a bit of a hassle for me in terms of warranty cover cos i heard they will still have to send it back for servicing so it may take a while unlike if you purchase from local official store but the price saving is too great to ignore :D

Ya, like in the comparison I gave above, $329 (128gb) vs $369 (64gb only).
I think got shopee electronic voucher to further reduce by $10. So it is quite tempting - I am really noob at this but I was wondering if there is a difference in the firmware between local global version export set global version.

That said, anyone got issues with syncing google services/contacts or NFC?

The 128gb from xiaomiofficial.sg & xiaomi.sg can be gotten at 379-20-10 or 369-20-10 frequently (like 4-5 times a week) Or even as low as 320-330+ during major promos

Both comes with local official warranty

Previously, export sets from "unreliable/unethical" sellers have been known to install fake ROMs. Again, no local support so local Xiaomi will turn you away, not sure if they changed their policy.

So you're paying around $50 for local warranty, depends on whether you think the savings outweighs the risks.

Shopee Xiaomi Global Official Store is considered Xiaomi SG, just camp for vouchers and flash sales. 9.9 is coming. 128GB Pro is selling for $379 now anyway with $10 discount voucher.

minus $20, minus $10 are what vouchers? What should I be looking out for?

I see currently they have some shop 12% voucher capped at $10, and shopee has electronic voucher for another $10.
The deal seems worse than what you are describing.

You are the same like me :s13:. I bought from the local Lazada store that time cos i just want my phone fixed if there's problems without any hassle but i also read their after sales service isn't the most ideal so if i figure the extra payment isn't that worth paying locally, i might as well buy from shopee, which is also official but way way cheaper (i discovered this is after i bought my Note 9S). Though to be fair to them, maybe those i read are just the few suey ones.

So with that being said, during the 10th Anniversary i just look see look see and found out the Poco F2 Pro had a crazy good discount and after accidentally seeing it drop to $549, which is already kind of ridiculously low price, i still resisted until next day i remember i had a further $40 coupon + coins and end up $508 so i str away ordered :s22: That is compared to the online store and physical stores which i think still charge it at $599 during the anniversary? Also, after lacking NFC on the Note 9S, i realize how much i will come to depend on it, especially during this pandemic.

That is my story :s13:

Export set has many issues because the MIUI update is go by different pathway as local international set. :o
