I got my phone @ under 200. Same specs as mi Singapore at that time before they used lazada. Mi Singapore one was close to 300. Price point didn't make sense to me. 2 years in still working fine.

Today the price differentiation is minimal so there isn't any significant or attractive advantage to get from parallel importer. It is advisable for less tech-savvy people to go with official seller.

Export set firmware come directly from Xiaomi? Actually come to think of it. Those phones not bought from telcos (Samsung, LG, etc) their firmware come directly from the company with no telcos bloat?

All sets will get update. But the update version are different between international official set versus parallel importer set. There is still a slight variation and difference unless you are tech savvy enough to do your own manual update. Other than that, the difference in pricing is in tenth dollars and why should we be uptight over a few tenth dollars to get such deviation? For me that is not justifiable risk to take.

Just wait for it then compare. But yeah, from what is leaked so far, it seems to make a lot more sense to get the Poco X3 NFC.

That slightly probably isn't worth tens of dollars difference but shall see how.

Feels a little sucky that a slightly better version of a phone I just bought is being released not long after.
Though not as bad as ppl who bought the RTX 2080 Ti graphics card recently.
Would be interested how much better the 732G chipset will be over 720G. Other than that, the specs are more or less similar.
