I have accubattery. The app does not explain, it just state so. Wanted to know the technical explanation cause I heard it often.

been following the 20-75% rule for past 1.5 years

too bad there isn't any app or software-based solution to cutoff charging at set % ... other than external mechanical/digital timer to power socket

Accubattery can set the batt % you want to stop, but will not cut off. instead, it rings to prompt user to switch off the charger.

Initially I bought a grey redmi note 9 pro set with mi in ear headphones from shopee but decide later to get a white one instead. Thus i request for a cancellation and went ahead to order another white one.

Who knows the next morning i notice that the supplier rejects my cancellation request and ask me to raise a request for return or refund when i got the phone.

Hence i got two orders of the same phone of different colour.

Mine is good, and it has the depth to protect the bump, but the cut out of the case at the charging port is a little sharp as I always place my pinky there haha

I tried the charging port, think should be better gradually after some use.:o I don’t have the habit placing my pinky there though.:o

My casing texture is rubbery but firm and solid.:o so far so good.:o the only slight disappointment is the screen protector which is just 0.1% smaller else it will be perfect.:o

Ok that's nice... I also don't like the fact that the sides black borders is cutting into the screen. Bought another one without the black borders, same brand from the same seller haha.

i am using original case that came with the phone. It does not protect the camera bump that well. The camera bump and the camera are actually flushed and inline.

I prefer a clear transparent case. not sure if there's any recommendation here.

Actually, I let it charge to 100% and keep it charge. I notice that once it pass some percentage eg 80, the current slows down and by the time it's close to 100, it slows down more.

Since I sometimes don't use the phone for a few hours, I just leave it topped up until I need it. There is no charging even when plug in, just keeping it 100%.

Not sure if it's a good strategy.

Suddenly out of no where i had this "ram jet" app on home screen. I thought it was bloat and deleted it. After googling i realised its a system app.

Tried to go to system apps to enable it back but it is not amongst the list of apps in it.

Any idea to get it back?

Hearsay that constantly keeping the battery on the charger when its full is not good for battery health

I hear this so often but I don't understand why. I think there are 2 parts to it. The heat and (I suspect) chemical change to the battery causing the damage.

Heat - already smaller current going in and is cooler. I notice that when it's in the middle portion of charging that the current is higher.

Chemical change to the battery - this I don't have info, so I assume this is the predominant reason for causing battery damage (but also not sure). I have to assume that at higher capacity (80-100%), the chemical change is higher than from 20-80% ? But I have to make this assumption to justify the reason for not charging to 100%.

I miss something ?

Also, they always quote charge cycle. So if I don't use my phone for sometimes, I just leave it charge, according to the charge cycle I actually use fewer charge cycle ?

As for the laptop, I notice in the office, there are people who permanent keep it charge and those who always go to meetings without power adapter. The latter tend to damage their batteries.

I think it will be a mystery for me for a long time to come ! ha ha...
