SE is worse then Redmi 2022 which has the same G99 as iPlay 50 pro

Unless you want the mini variant for the 8inch form factor, Redmi 2022 is more reliable but harder to get a good price/deal for the 6/128 model. I settled for a cheap 3/64

I recently got a 128/6 gb China rom Redmi Pad SE from Shopee for $220.

Is there any way to enable Google Play Store/Play Services without messing with the ROM on this device?

It doesn't seem to have the "Basic Google Services" option under Accounts & Sync that my Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Mi Pad 6 have, and attempts to install the Play Store and Play Services from external sources leads to the Play Store icon appearing, but the app crashing immediately upon launch.

Got mine from melon.phone.

Tablet appears to be authentic, but the China ROM seems to be aggressively anti Google Play as I've seen a reddit thread listing the exact same problem I'm facing:

Just received firmware patch for redmi pad 1 and it is now showing as Xiaomi HyperOS version 1.0.1.0.ULYMIXM. Android version is 14 UP1A.231005.007.

Warning from a friend

Those with Redmi Pad SE try not to update to current Hyper OS, there is a bug causing front camera to fail. This issue will be resolve on next OTA update patch.

Just went on a short trip and in my hurry I just took the apple usb c earpod (wired). End up cannot used on the 1st generation Redmi Pad Tablet. Was working on my Samsung phone and my laptop. A little disappointed.
