once you port in to redone, is there a minimum period before u can port out to other telco?

just to share other telcos with 2 billing/ 2 mth minimum are:

- vivifi
- zym
- zero1
- tpg

personally i think these telcos should name their service as a “2-mth contract”. The champ imo is redone to even charge $10 sim card fee on top of the 2 mths lock-in.

also to note, the 2 mth could start from the 1st of the calendar mth. Eg if one ports in on say 2 Jul, he will have to pay the telco until 30 Sep (1st bill on 1 Aug, 2nd bill on 1 Sep) which almost 3 months

Even for telcos without the 2 mth but charge by calendar mth, eg CMlink, if one ports in on 2 Jul, he will have to pay for the period of 2 Jul to 31 Aug, which is almost 2 months

the telcos which charge for exact period of usage are: giga, gomo, changi mobile & myrepublic. Some needs a few days of notice to port-out before next mth renewal dates to avoid being charged for another mth

if one wants to max out the full 1 month period & change telco without paying extra, can try the “monthly top-up” Plans, eg M1 maxx, Heya

Calls using redone sg in Malaysia are chargeable...purchase add on if you need to make calls overseas.. Or call from sg to Malaysia is free

I've just signed up for redONE on 28 June. The port in was fast, on the same night was ported over. I collected my sim card at a shop in chong pang.
The shop guy told me the minimum sign up period is 2 calendar months. That means for my case, june and july. Yes, there is a $10 charge for sim card.
This card will be useful when i travel to msia..

instead but waive / reduce sim card fee to $5 or below for local data only plans.

Maybe they can sell 3 mth plan without the $10 sim card fee…

but that said, they are already earning 3 mths worth of subsciption for the $10 plan by providing 2 mth service. So y bother to provide additional 1 mth service & increase cost?

perhaps customers need to stay 4 mths or beyond for Redone to think they truly deserve a foc “prestigous redone platinum” sim card, which is a take-for-granted feature from all other telcos.

Anyway, Seeing people are "promoting" onexox here in a redONE thread..... ....I couldn't open my mouth, add salt, add sugar, add chili, pour cooking oil into the fire or poke his backside and kepoh...... coz I have both the redONE and onexox-28 months prepaid (since thousands years ago..)!
