this was my PDI: Mr Ng Chin Lye (HP:96828502). he teaches auto driving at Ubi but doesn't do pick up. you'll have to meet him outside CDC. i'd say he's a responsible and patient instructor and his passing rates are quite high because he has many years of teaching experience.

Agree. Don't horn at other drivers because they obey to speed limit.

I seriously hate those drivers who drive 80-90km on a 60km speed limit roads. It is earmarked at 60km for a good reason.

I would really like to take this time to recommend this very good private instructor Mr Yeo who has 25 years of experience and drives around Gombak.I chanced upon his contact one day while searching through this forum and saw his name being recommended by zuldevil and decided to give him a try.I swear this is the BEST decision i made in my life(okay exaggerate a bit,u get my point...).Anyway,he's the best not because I passed on the 1st attempt. It's how he treats his students with respect and his level of professionalism.

First off,he will NEVER ever sleep when you are driving(unless you book very late slots with him,he might doze off a little:p).He never eats, calls friends to chat(his students might call him to book lessons,nt his fault also ;0),not over-protective of his car( like screaming at you when you brake too hard etc).

I rmb on my 2nd lesson,my engine stalled more than 4 times in a traffic jam(just learnt clutch mah=/).Instead of screaming his lungs out at how noobish i was,Mr Yeo looked very worried and asked me is something wrong with his car(lol...).After that he told me to take my time and ignore those mad cars honking behind.

Mr Yeo is also not the type that's just after your money. There's one occasion when i was supposed to have driving with him but i overslept for more than 15minutes.Instead of eating up half my money, since his company states that students who are late for more than 15mins will result in half of their money being forfeited,he called me and asked where I stay so he can fetch me(his company does not provide fetching service also).

At the end of today when i passed my driving,Mr Yeo came up with a big smile and a warm handshake. In total I spent less than 1k in getting this license,im cheap haha.

All in all, grab this Mr Yeo at 81833232 and tell him seng recommended him.I bet on my balls you wont regret it.Okay just kidding=x.

hi, any more details of mr yeo? btw, he using what car to teach?

1. Get advice from the PDI (Private Driving Instructor) first. He might not be able to give you all the slots that you want to clr the lessons in time for the TP test. You also need his IC number before you can book the test date.

2. Mr Yeo is currently my PDI. Honda City.
Reg fee: $50
Charges: $28 for non-peak hours, $30 for peak hours. (pls call and confirm, I think he has just revised the fees)
Private circuit: one time $50 (pls call and confirm also)
Car booking fee for TP test: $150.

Will be out of Singapore this week, just post your question here and see if other bro can help.

Cheers!

He can teach in English, no problem. Since you have called and managed to book him, there shouldnt be any communication issue.

His car plate is SBJ 9119G. For popular PDIs, its normal to wait a bit longer for a slot, that's why its best to call early. When's your lesson?

heya, can i ask, is it faster to take up 3A in a sch or private environment?

i would look at it as class 3A is faster in private, so asking if u guys got any private class 3A instructors other than Mr Ng which i saw in this page..

Wow, didnt expect you to wait for 2 weeks for the 1st lesson... mine 1st lesson I waited for slightly over 1 week.

Remember to bring your PDL for the first lesson. You should be receiving a reminder call from Mr Yeo on 14/02 also.

Just a tip for booking lesson: if you are comfortable with him as your PDI and wishes to continue learning from him, when you book your next lesson with him, pay him first.

If you havent make payment for the lesson, your lesson can be cancelled by those who need to take TP test and need the slots more urgently.

I took over 1-2 slots of those who book but haven't paid yet as I need to practise for my test.

My test is on this Sat, a bit stress out, man...

Good luck for your first lesson! Must remember what your Instructor taught, if possible jot down after lesson or type notes in your mobile phone after each lesson. :)
