Posting review for Mr Frankie Yue.

3A, Toyota Axio
Pickup at Ubi CDC (Can arrange for Tai Seng / Ubi MRT pick up)

Chose him mainly because of the review I saw while trawling through the many pages in this thread, and that he also has quite a high pass rate / student numbers as well.

Can confirm that he is indeed a top notch instructor. Took approximately ~10 lessons from him (did have some prior driving lessons with school) and passed TP on the first try some time back.

He is patient, and will point out mistakes every single time you make them. Gives very good tips for driving in circuit and on the road, can fully recommend him. Speaks good English, but does not engage much in small talk. I'm by nature not a chatty person, so this suited me really well. Does not scold you / chide you even if you don't do well, but instead he will remind or nag you.

He is professional as well, and is always there on time. Does not take frequent toilet breaks while driving as well. Even if he does need to answer nature's call, he'll do it quickly.

Only downside is that he appears to have a lot of students, and therefore scheduling can be a bit difficult especially for working adults. (Was running 1 lesson at week for some time).

Feel free to PM me should you want his contact, can 100% recommend him.

Hi, sorry can't pm you. Could you pm me the contact? Thanks!

Hi, I'm looking for a private instructor @ CDC / Ubi for class 3A.
I have been through ~8 lessons with my current instructor but am not progressing - He gives unclear and conflicting instructions. Would appreciate any recommendations, do PM me too! Thank you

Does anyone have a class 3A pdi for SSDC to recommend? I have been trying for weeks to get someone available but everyone seems to be fully booked out. Would really appreciate any recommendations as I'm really at my wits' end, I've tried everything from friend recommendations, pdireviews, reddit etc but still no luck. Thanks!

Are you in the circuit already or still driving on the roads?

Haven't been through circuit. Still on roads, learned left turn, right turn, u turn and have been at vertical parking for the last 3 lessons. Realised I've been with this PDI for 12 lessons already.

I recently passed on my first try after 17 lessons (at least 7 circuit lessons and including the warm up before exam) with 16 demerit points. Sounds like a lot but I scored 14 points in the circuit due to my TP being too big sized and blocking my back window view causing me to not park properly so strike a kerb when I exit the parking lot. But I would say, 2 demerit points on the road was pretty fantastic.

Spent a total of less than 1.6k including my driving test cost.

Before the exam, my driving uncle even told all his driving uncle instructor friends at the coffeeshop “today is her last day coming already”. Such confidence in me hahahaha.

I love my driving instructor.
9.5/10 because I’m paying for classes!
10/10 or even 11/10 if lessons are free.

Would be my last post here but I will reply to DMs if y’all int in his contact!

3A CDC, lessons around UBI.
Hi could you give me his number please? Thankyou!

Hello! Looking for a PDI Manual in East area (CDC).

My current instructor is a mess and isn’t accommodating to my schedule. I’ve gone 10 lessons (1.5 hrs), so far I can do vertical parking, U / 3 point turn, slope, drive on road without any problems. However she kept insisting since beginning I need 25 lesson or so to pass, even though I have military Bronco license. I’ve been pushing her to teach faster since lesson 5, but she kept pointing out minor mistakes and say she can’t teach new stuff till I correct these. After some pressing she finally decided to teach 3 point turn and reverse parking. But she’s so half hearted... Luckily I learnt the basics online and pulled it off well in just a few tries. When teaching me she didn’t even bother mentioning much tips for a successful maneuver... I requested her to teach more circuit stuff, but in the end each lesson she just spend ard 20-30 min teaching it, then the rest is just driving on the same road I’ve driven for 10 lessons already.
My speed may seem fast, but honestly it’s due to me pushing her so hard and me learning from online. She’s really impatient also, haix...

So last lesson I failed 1 out of 5 vertical parking, and made some minor error during road drive, like stalling once, failing to signal once, and skipping gear once. I asked her to teach Parallel and familiarize me with test routes, then she say she’s got her own plans! And pointed out these minor errors like major ones and say I’m trying to fly before I can walk. NANI? AM I THAT SH*T?

Thing is, I want to finish fast due to busy schedule soon in the year. And I find she’s gonna milk me for money by delaying lessons. Had I not learnt everything beforehand from YouTube lessons, she’s just gonna wait for me to make a mistake every-time then point it out, and make me feel bad.

I paid $96+$60 (deposit, probably not gonna get back lol)... Any instructor willing to save me from this mess? I just want somebody who can accommodate to my learning schedule and style, instead of just delaying everything.
Have you found another instructor?
