He scolds vulgarities all day. He is an extremely poor instructor. Beware of engaging this pdi or you will regret it.

Anyway, this post is an advertising post so be careful.

Oh dear, I just read this post and I feel so sorry for the both of you.
No, seriously. No one deserves to be treated like that. If I'd known earlier, I would never have shared him with you guys. I am truly sorry.
I wish to clarify that what I'd posted previously was truly based on my own experiences with Steven, and I tried to be as truthful and unbiased as possible.
Like I said in my post, his temper is the thing to look out for. "In short, he is a stern but extremely reliable instructor. If you can get past his temper, you'll likely pass on your first attempt." During my lessons with him, I was scolded many times - albeit not as harsh as some of you.
If you can still bear with me, I'll like to explain why I felt his temper paid off. Firstly, I went to him through a recommendation from a friend, just like any of you, and at the same time hoping that he's a good and reliable instructor.
He was not.
Or at least, that's what I felt during the first few lessons. I was scolded repeatedly and felt like giving up many times. Sometimes I even wanted to drive badly just to piss him off. Then come the day of my practical test. (I stuck with him cause I did not want to disappoint my friend who introduced him to me)
I assure you I thought I was definitely going to fail the first time, because Steven was still scolding me on the last few days. But somehow, just somehow, I managed to remember every single important part where I went wrong during his lessons - which would have caused me to fail. I cleared my slope obstacle perfectly, parked nicely, and even remebered to check every single blindspot.
If you are someone who cannot take criticisms and scoldings, don't go to him. I strongly advise against it, because you WILL be scolded. In the end, I am not going to see him again. I am not going to pay him another single cent. Heck, I don't have a single **** to do with him anymore. I had bloody passed and thats all i care about.
Cliche as it may sound, one man's meat is another man's poison. Taking lessons under Steven worked out well for me - passed the first time with 8 points despite my low confidence going into the test.
Once again, I apologise for any horrible experiences you guys have gone through under him and I am sorry if my post sounded like an advertisement. I sincerely thought it was a harmless sharing of someone I thought was an effective instructor.
Thanks so much for reading my long-winded post. Cheers!
PS: The only bad experience I had under him was his temper. I can't comment on his toilet breaks, using laptops, etc. They did not happen to me during his lessons.
