hi folks,

Appreciate, if you can kindly steer me in the direction of a reliable yet, patient private driving instructor for refresher coaching - auto.

Preferable meet-up location - Tampines, Pasir Ris, Loyang or Flora Road.

Many Thanks n God bless.

Hi, anyone got a good Private Auto Driving Instructor to recommend? I was learning manual for about 7 lessons and just can't seem to get a hang of it. Vehicle keep stalling at half slope or junctions, keep jerking when changing gear, clutch released too quickly, start off too slowly and rollback at slopes, I can foresee myself spending more time and money on manual. Any kind souls can recommend a patient instructor that conduct lessons at Ubi area? Hoping for a reasonable rate too! Thank you!

Half clutch, keep biting point and then change from brake to accelerator and move off? Correct sequence?

Yes that's one way but you can try another way, pull the handbrake instead and then step on accelarator n half clutch n release handbrake as I think quite hard to catch the biting point for some people after just seven lessons.

As for car jerking when shifting gears n moving off, try to hold the clutch in half clutch instead of releasing it completely after the car has moved off or changed gear.

Also why not consider changing another manual pdi first ?

Auto a bit not worth it cause a lot of things you can't do with an auto licence. If you happen to become your own boss in the future, you won't be able to drive your company van or lorry. Unless you very very sure you won't ever be touching a manual vehicle in the future, then that's different.
