Ah Komagome. I stay in Bunkyou Ward so I can pop by easily. I'm wondering whether Koishikawa Koen would have nice blooms. Last time round I went there in Autumn, could see quite a number of Sakura trees (bald of course).

Yes. The sakura there have bloomed. I went koishikawa yesterday afternoon....but somehow I prefer rikugien more.

it was 20+ degrees last week, but got colder again to about 14 to 18 degrees over the last few days. It was cold at 10 degrees today.
My advice is bring a jacket, but no need those thick winter type. I brought my autumn jacket for this trip and it worked well for me. If you just bring a thin cardigan, it might be too cold for u in case u encounter a cold windy day.

Oh, and I'm referring to Tokyo. Not sure about other parts of Japan.

Came back from hokkaido last saturday, the weather there is still cold though the temperature is starting to get above zero more often now and this mean wetter snow or rain/drizzle when it does snow or rain. There are days of cos thats still go below zero with dry cold weather.

Chances are not looking good. Osaka's Sakura peak happened last weekend.

lucky me I catched it even I m not really going for sakura
as I to for shopping and hokkiado snow
but lucky able to catch it
