If everyone has 5 -6 mil nwxt gen really no need work liao
Now new gen all think of retire early
Will there be enough in workforce

no worries, with AI and humanoid, think main concern will be too many human still in workforce.

Retirement is fantastic! So many cool things to do.
Peaceful.
Enjoy good food. Good scenery and activities.
Fun collecting monthly distributions.
Also can choose to do some work type activities if I like.

Transition is actually very good. Lots of options. Not boring.

No choice as many of us devote much of our life and time to work. Singaporeans work very long hours between 9 to 12 hours daily for 30 to 35 years.

That is provided u are already living the same life before retirement.

If scrimp and save and work till no life before retirement u will end up same de nth to do when retired. They will keep on worry money no enuff even they have 10m in bank and life in a 2 rm bto (fully paid)

I know what you mean.

A bit of a psychological game.

Keeping money or investments that are pure growth that don't pay any distributions regularly makes one feel that way.

But if you have investment portfolio incoem engine that pays monthly then just think of it as being paid every month spend the money however you like.

Feels liberating. Can finally enjoy life!

Personally, if my wife is not working, I'd retired too even if not enough money
Worst just get a resale flat, rent out a bedroom to tank for more inflation


Spend the rest of our time together before one of us leave the world first
