My recent transfers from Revolut to overseas bank accounts have been taking a long time to clear - nearly a week now. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm always a bit unsure about these fintechs and now with crazy currency swings I'm wondering how solvent Revolut is.

Shouldn't have an issue according to this:

Currency for the card payment is selected in the following order:

1. The currency of the payment (e.g. if you are in the UK carrying out a transaction in Euro, we will deduct funds from your Euro balance)
2. Your base currency (SGD), which is determined by your home address
3. The next active currency with a sufficient balance

Funds are not taken from more than one currency balance at a time, so if there is no single currency wallet with sufficient funds, the transaction will be declined, even if there is enough money across your wallets in total.

Which bank atm to withdraw for no fees in Malaysia? Any extra step to use revolut instead of bank rates? 1st time using atm withdrawal using revolut.

Mine cleared almost overnight. Check your chat, there may be some blocks on your account, if it is taking so long

Tried last month. Maybank and HSBC both no fees. Remember to select "without conversion". If not you get the lousy bank rate.

I use revolut to do remittance, but now notice that their exchange rate is not as good anymore.
I am subscribed to their premium plan, and always do 1 international transfer per month (transfer fee waived off for the first transfer per month).

comparing the rate to wise, wise seems to be giving a better rate even while including wise's transfer fee.

Dun do any foreign currencies related activities with Revolut and banks in the weekends. Their rates sux in the weekends cos’ the forex markets are closed.

dun think so, topup by grabpay mastercard reflected as topup by credit card in Revolut

I did, the courses are short and questions are easy.
Also tried to buy abit for fun, navigation is relatively smooth but charges are high at 2.5%.

Yes, I am aware that the rate on the weekend is worse, and I normally do these international transfers on weekdays.

Revolut's rate used to match what is shown on their currency converter menu, but now it is lower than what is shown when doing the actual transfer.

Revolut always shows a better rate on their currency converter than what they actually give. But for all my transfers it is still better than Wise (JPY and AUD). What I find annoying with Revolut is they show a really good rate when my account balance is $0 but when I add funds the rate gets worse.

I use Revolut and Wise each week. I understand Wise's business model and don't think it's risky. I use Revolut because the rate is better but I expect to get burnt one day. Big transfers I use Wise for my own peace of mind.

have been topping up via bank transfer to enjoy this promo previously that i forgot can top up via GPMC (and earn the 1.5/1.7% rebates).
