Hi all,

Has anyone else encountered issues with transferring SGD from revolut to their bank accounts? Mine keeps getting rejected.

Thanks in advance!

Did you top up your revolut with a credit card, and now trying to withdraw it as cash? Don't do that. MAS frowns on such behaviour.

No, I've actually topped it up using a debit card. I think it's an issue on the revolut side though as the rejection was almost instant upon pressing send

Oh that sucks. Yeah, maybe revolut is doing something on their end.

Debit or credit should not have any bearing on how you may use it.

How much did you attempt send? As others have said, maybe Revolut blocking sending to ownself, in local currency. I'm able to send to my overseas bank account.

I was able to withdraw SGD to my local SG account here. No issues whatsoever.

Could you run through the process with me? The revolut support staff don't seem to be able to resolve it as well

this is something to do with their anti-money laundering algorithm in place. regardless whether debit or credit card, as long as there's movements of money revolut is known to be hard up on it so ppl don't usually transfer in money unnecessarily to avoid getting $ stucked.

It went like this:

1) Select the "Payments" middle button
2) Select the "Bank Transfer" on left corner
3) Select my bank account already set up. You may want to select the "add bank account"
4) Select "Send"then key in the SGD value. Then Send.

Takes about 5 days to appear in my bank account.

MCC the same. I got some cards that cannot top up direct, but able to do so twice via google pay (then now cannot top up again).

Edited: Google pay got points?

Hi, i am new to investing and would like to ask the following questions (I have tried researching on my own but having difficulties understanding new terms and finding out on the company's website),

1) should i be using Revolut (vs Transferwise vs others?) to convert SGD into USD and then transfer to StanChart Online Trading? 'No fees' but there is variable fee?

Key idea is how much I need to pay? How should I search for this info(keyword, under transactions? terms and conditions?)? Revolut vs Transferwise?

2) i have posb and stanchart bank accounts. which one should i use to deposit into Revolut (I assume Revolut is the better choice vs Transferwise). The deposit is considered a OTT transaction (which leads to Q3)?

Key idea is, what kind of transfer am I making and how much I need to pay?

3) Is Revolut (singapore?) considered as local transfer or still considered overseas (international?)?

Would really appreciate any help for a beginner like me. I am intending to buy CSPX via StanChart in the near future using USD.
Thank you!
