hopefully not. wonder if other users can verify.

anyway I myself top up $300 when I opened the account last month, but immediately withdrew to $0 on the same day (like, less than an hour later) after realizing that I can't use the card/app yet for SimplyGo. A few days later I top up a bit (like $20) again for the last week of July to use for transport.

so see whether can get the cashback for July or not... fingers crossed.
Let us know again if its valid when you receive the cashback :)

Quickly checking: rolling month for ATM cash withdrawal limit means that if on a Standard plan, I withdraw S$350 on the 10th of a month, I can make the next fee-free withdrawal only on the 10th of the next month . Right?

https://www.revolut.com/en-SG/help/...ard plan comes with Five,we're working on it.
"The limit resets every rolling month (not calendar month) on the day, when your current price plan started."

just to comment.. that I find Revolut's way of posting transactions a bit weird.

my experience so far:
- it posted my 24 and 26 July as one transaction on 25 July
- it posted my 29 July as two separate transactions on 29 July (I took two separate rides that day)
- it posted my 30 and 31 July, 1 and 2 Aug as one transaction on 30 July (some days one ride, some days two rides)

all are bus/mrt rides which are small amounts... even the total for 30/7, 31/7, 1/8 and 2/8 posted on 30/7 did not exceed $15.

any explanation for the above? wonder how you guys keep track of the 20% cashback

Are the fee-free ATM withdrawals abroad that Revolut offers limited to the foreign currency being held by us beforehand? That is, it is free only we have already converted S$ to the currency that we're about to withdraw?

What is Revolut's markup in cash withdrawals?

nope not necessary to be one of the avail currency wallet inside. the other thing to note is some foreign ATMs will charge a fee for withdrawal, not every bank/country has no fees charged by the foreign ATM's bank

never noticed their markup but definitely don't feel shortchanged versus changing from money changers

Thanks very much.

That seems different from the way that Wise's debit card works for ATM withdrawals, also "free" up to S$350 and 2 transactions a month. I received the following reply when I asked Wise the same question about needing to hold the foreign currency beforehand for an ATM withdrawal:

If you hold SGD in your balance only and need to do a SGD transaction, we do not charge any fees on that and your SGD balance will be debited.

When you use the card to do a EUR purchase, then the system will check for available EUR balance. If you have no balance in that currency, the next available currency will be debited. The Wise conversion fee % will be applied.

It seems that Wise does charge a conversion fee when withdrawing cash in a currency not already held in the account, but Revolut doesn't. Did I understand that right?

It may be a small problem given that one can easily convert S$ into a foreign currency beforehand in Wise. But I wonder why Revolut doesn't tack on a fee for doing that whereas Wise seems to.

Also, agreed that foreign ATMs can still charge their own local operator fees for the withdrawal.

anytime, you do a conversion in Wise, Wise charges a fee. There is no point to convert in advance.

Wise and Revolut works differently. Wise supports more currencies than Revolut and for USD, it has ACH support for you to receive or send in USD in US.

never found use case for Wise, it's in my drawers for almost 3 or 4 years till they sent me a reminder to request for a new card as it's expiring.

just use Revolut, used it for a few of my trips alr and not much issues. but always carry extra cards around no matter how confident you are for emergency (i've faced it b4 so i know how annoying it can be)

it is good if you pay or receive payment in USD. ACH is free. Wire Transfer is expensive.

Hi everyone. I realised there is 1% charge to change Thai baht. Wonder whether there is any card that doesn’t charge 1% for Thai baht?
