so u spent all 5k ?I brought both my YouTrip and Revolut cards when I went to Australia.
Before I reached Australia, I checked the rates of both cards and almost daily Revolut rate was much better. Hence I exchanged SGD 5000 to AUD which was the limit for the free version. The Revolut Customer Service contacted me and gave me some cashback benefits for this exchange which was really good.
Good to exchange when the rate is high as Revolut charges extra 1% on weekends.
The YouTrip card I brought along as well to be spent if my SGD 5000 in Revolut was fully utilised.
When I reached Australia I withdrew some AUD cash from Revolut card, can withdraw up to SGD 350 at no extra cost. Easy to find ATMs in Sydney CBD area where I stayed for 2 weeks. Almost everything in Sydney is cashless so very little cash is needed. I only withdrew AUD 150. I used cash if there is a surcharge for cards at restaurants.
Overall, I mostly used my Revolut card with ease and enjoyed the better rates than YouTrip which was my backup card.
Hope my sharing helps.
not bad that you know how much you will spend for the trip, which I am normally clueless unless for big ticket item.
thus, amaze linking to credit card still works better for my case...+ youtrip for free withdrawal..
