i tried watching the trilogy again sometime last yr, but wasnt impressed as movie effects had changed a lot over the yrs. better not spoil old memories... :s13:

but of cos, remake would be a totally different story.

i watched star wars, no problem with that.

I saw the teaser some time back. I don't like the design at all, it looks too futuristic. Too "expensive" and "scary" for a police department. The thing about RoboCop in the past that hits me well is because even though it's futuristic at that point of time, it blends well into its setting.

Right now the new RoboCop design looks like as if the department just hired an assassin. It's more appropriate for an antagonist if you ask me..

To think it's one of my favourite childhood movies...

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me."

Classic line just sounded wrong.

Trailer looks more slick.

And Samuel L. Jackson inside makes this show a must watch.

Maybe RoboCop's going to replace Iron Man in the Avengers team :s13:

Tracking doesn't seem good for the RoboCop remake. You would have thought that Hollywood execs have learnt not to mess with the classics after disappointing returns from Carrie, Conan and Total Recall by now.

to quote a certain MIW - "i dont know what to say"

it tried to be satirical
it tried to be current socio-politic
it tried to be cool action
(although the blackout/night vision shootout is the exception)

but it just.....lacks....

the maybes that could have saved the movie - if they made Samuel L Jackson the villain instead of Keaton...
and if they R-rated the damn thing till bloody...

5/10

just reaffirms me buying this 4K Remastered BluRay

Is he holding a machine gun on one hand and the pistol in the other? Or both machine guns...

So is this an inferior version to the Paul Verhoeven classic?
