just to share , perhaps you can try to see if your bot can recognize poo. i was told by a fellow owner that the X40 is able to, while i personally tested the S8, to be incompetent. :ROFLMAO:

perhaps you can try your to see the video feedback / object detection marks the poo as poo.
Most of the newer flagship from past 2-3 years have such AI as long as there is camera. Even old L10s is able to detect. Problem is it is not 100% reliable, once it misses, your floor is gg.

Yes, my Roborock is like that a hit-n-miss, while the X40 seems much much better.

once can detect and mark , then its solved.

That will only work if your pets is very very well trained and no random accident, you just need the robot to miss the poo once and good luck. Seen many social media post with floor covered in poo.

Taobao got sell some routers specially set up for these situations. Without subscription is 100+ SGD. With lifetime subscription then it's >500sgd. Tested to work with streaming vid, AI, and vacuum robots before 2024, but dunno if still works for newer robot vacuums.

Search zerofast and 欣新路由器
That additional $500 can buy you local robots with warranty. Still want to pay $500 for router to support robot w/o local warranty.

Yeah but 500sgd locally sold vacuum robots will probably be entry level older generation that won't give you the same level of auto 上下水,anti entanglement, navigation, vacuum power, auto mop cleaning. And older gen tend to have more reliability issues and either breakdown or get stuck more easily.
There is a 1250cny router too anyway, also lifetime subscription. But i suspect this is kinda pointless because when China enhances their firewall or cracks down on the VPS or whatever method the seller is using, then the router becomes useless liao. I notice that none of these router product listings are older than few months.

Same goes for China bought karaoke system. You hack it, a few years later (if you are lucky) it wouldn't work again.

And you need to pay to unlock it or buy a new set.

I have a question for Dreame x40 users. How's the video monitoring function? Is it useful? Video quality wise how is it?

Other guy who say Ecovacs is cui, lol

After I dumped my ecovac Omni T20 into the dustbin and bought Dreame X40 Ultra Pro

(1) the mapping of Dreame is ultra power. Ecovac is totally cui

(2) the waste water of Dreame is like 30% of Ecovacs. Don’t know how they do that.

(3) The mopping pad of Ecovacs always drop out for some reason. Dreame magnetic ones are so easy to use

(4) For some reason, Dreame can detect certain areas are more dirty and ask whether we need to clean again.

My wife said best choice of 2024.

GPGT!
Bottom cleanliness condition after 3 weeks and almost 20 cycles. Got 2 females, 3 males, and 2 cats at home, so there is plenty of long hair and fur around. I have not done anything to clean the bottom before taking these photos
Main roller and side brushes very very clean, no hair or fur at all, just a bit of dust on the main brush.
Mopping pads slight stains near middle.
Some fur on the wheel crevice, but not entangled, easily pulled out.
Some fur, short hair and dust splattered onto the enclosure of the main roller. Dried and stuck on quite firmly, need to use damp tissue to wipe off.

Yes am tempted.. Considering its an early 2024 flagship at one point haha..

today's high is tomorrow's low.

same for tech lor... now it's already X50, but 2yrs ago, X30 is the topline for Dreame.

same for iPhones, cars, etc.
