After using the Xiaomi Mi Robot for 2 weeks, I conclude it works well. I have not used any other bots prior to it to draw a comparison, but based on my observation over 2 weeks,

1) It is effective in vacuuming up the dust and dirt.
2) Sensors on the bot are effective in avoiding obstacles and bumping into objects. If it does bump into an object, it will back off a bit before trying to turn away from it to avoid scratching anything.
3) At 64 decibels, its not that loud to me.
4) App allows you to remotely activate the bot in the office or on the go. You can monitor in case the bot do get stuck somewhere, you can also remotely stop the cleaning.
5) Works well on carpets and do not get stuck on it as long as its not the hairy/ furry type.
6) Best of all, it cost me about 350 bucks from Qoo10 with 3 months warranty.

I agree most of your review. I tried xiaomi too and in short - it doesn't have a sophisticated camera and extra features but does the cleaning job well enough. and also it is super cheap compared to other brands.

Battery replacement, I am not too sure though. There seems to be none at this point in time. The magnetic barriers are the same, so you should be able to reuse the ones that you got for your Neato botvac.

It may not have a camera, but the laser is more accurate than the camera in terms of gauging distance. The features on the Mi Robot is on par with the latest Neato Connected, at likely 35 to 40% of the price.

I got mine from Newstar. However, I think due to the increase in demand, most sellers have already increased the price. This is done through increase in price for warranty and accessories, i.e. power cable.

One of the benefits (while some will dispute) is that you get a local store here that you can send the bot back for exchange/ repairs in case it fails prematurely. Some sellers on Qoo10 are based out in China only, so be careful which seller you buy from.

This is correct. I think after conversion, its almost the same if the more pricey. So no point getting overseas. If you get a lemon set that can't power up, you will need to send it back again after waiting for that long for shipping.

I just checked in Tmall it is selling at 1699 RMB after conversion is ard 351 SGD. I am thinking of buying and asking my friend to bring back for me however i do note that if i buy locally any issue i can send back to them easily. How reliable to buy locally? i am afraid of fakes. thks

Not too sure about fakes though. The one I got from Qoo10 looks authentic and its working well for me for close to 2 months now.

It will still bump gently onto wall or furniture in order to get the mapping of your room, the edge of wall will be covered by the side brush.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the performance for Suzuka Smart based on its price.

May I ask what is the power frequency of Suzuka Smart?

50/60Hz or 50 Hz only?

Based on my own observation, no. The brush don't seem to tangle itself with longer hair.

have been using the aztech vc3000 for about 2-3 weeks now.

Batt life is somewhat unpractical. Manual says switch off docking station if not in used. the robot must be docked all the time because if you don't, batt will eventually die out and it won't auto charge on its own. then machine's time will be lost and you need to configure it again. You need the machine's time because it has a "scheduled cleaning option." so, if you don't dock it always(may degrade battery life like all electronics), then, it can't maintain system's time with real time.

also, it doesn't recognise barriers so well, sometimes it just keeps bumping into surfaces and then scrape against them as it tries to turn itself out of it. *heartpain* when you see the scratches on a newly bought machine.

other than that, price at 199(not including further discount due to Lazada's offer) quite ok for that.

Side track a bit, Lazada's delivery and pricing totally beat our local electronics store.
Lazada may deliver the next day upon ordering. Local stores deliver 6 bizness days later.
Lazada is cheaper. Local Stores already discounted price also more exp.

HI follow up with this vacuum cleaner how is it after few months use? my main worry is the battery life. 2000mah is like barely 20min use handphone has larger battery size. 4000mah
