Prices aside, I need to see which AIB or even the reference cards have mounting holes similar to the last gen GTX or even AMD mounting holes.
It is so that I can mount my NZXT AIO cooler and get watercooling ahead of everyone else just like with the RTX 2080 Ti where the Asus AIB variant has the same mounting holes as the 1080 Ti.

Demand is going to be high and going by what tweaktown is saying
it will be in short supply till the end of the year, so prices swelling

Demand will always be high for a highly anticipated product. Frankly speaking, this is nothing new. This generally stabilizes after 2 to 3 months. Because it is going to be year end as well, demand is expected to be strong. Prices will be inflated during this period, but I doubt we will see "insane" level because the economy has hit a really rough patch. Having said that, there will still be individuals that will try and flip this at insane prices.

Nvidia site never include GST, with GST it's more like $720ish, markup 10% still quite reasonable la.

Dun think 3070 will be $1000+, at most $800-900.

Base price should be in the region of 820 to 850 SGD in my opinion. But as you start looking at the higher end models, i.e. Aorus, Gaming X, Strix, etc, I don't think it will be surprising to find them near or over 1K. Asus Strix models are classic example of massive overpricing and I am not surprise to see them going above 1K for the RTX 3070.

MSRP is where we will find the budget AIB cards. The Strix, Gaming X Trio etc will definitely add another hundred or two.

Like I said before, wait for AMD Big Navi and Vermeer. It applies to most people, including peasant me. A handful don't care coz they can upgrade to 3080/3090 or afford multiple 3090, simply just because they can afford.

Me definitely not gonna be the first few batches of user for Nvidia. Been using Windows with AMD graphics more than Nvidia.

I have lower issues for drivers under AMD compared to Nvidia drivers which install a shyt load of stuff. My AMD GPU 7800 still kicking. GTX 970 about to kick the bucket already, showing a ton of issues. U'll never know that if AMD Big Navi has flawless drivers while Ampere facing issues. Most people only can forecast/predict from past experiences.

If local distributors price is high, I would recommend giving up local warranty. I don't see the need to pay more, esp Asus Rog Strix. Nvidia FE version is so much nicer looking.

As for GPU, my spending through the past years have always been SGD200~500...Used to be like around Nvidia xx70 series performance but now seem to be able to afford xx60 series with that price.

To say demand is high, I feel that right now, as Singaporeans, the demand for good jobs is even higher. Jobs fair, Career fair, e2i provides nothing of quality. Just all the base level of workers that the available jobs are. Pathetic and sad for locals.

The good jobs will not be found at job fairs. It's mostly through executive search firms and word-of-mouth (if you have the right skills).

Nah... I go for whichever gives the best raw performance but must include DLSS too since it makes native 4K look bad.
So if AMD has their own DLSS implementation and can make the performance exceed Nvidia's with DLSS too, then I don't mind switching.
Not to mention the better pricing of both cards too!
