already run the benchmark
is pretty amazing graphic actually, i was like stunning for 15 minutes :s13:
but to bad i dont know which button to save the screenshot :s11:

Glad u liked it! ;) It's actually a rolling demo of a real game called X3: Terran Conflict which u can get in local stores quite cheap. So what's ur benchmark scores?!

U take continuous screenshots is the same as making a film or clip from the screen's activity. FRAPS does that. FRAPS can capture clips of 3D games or whatever is happening on ur desktop, but is not freeware.

I tried all the things that were suggested (undervolt, apply thermal paste on GPU). I did undervolt my CPU to a stable 1.000V. But when I tried 3DMark06, my ACPI temps (which I'm told reflects my CPU temps) were above the danger zone of 75C, although the CPU temps themselves were fine. At furmark, temps still remained high though (with the GPU at 94C with aircon on, and 99C with aircon off), and this is even with the GPU throttling itself down to avoid overheating. I'm sure it would be even higher if there was no auto throttling.

Maybe I'll buy a notebook cooler and see how that goes...

For all of you looking at the temperatures of the NP8662 and thinking its too hot, this is not too hot. Furmark is a real stress tester for Graphics cards and Sager has also tested a T9900 and found that their CPU has also reached 93 degrees under Prime95.

For those of you who have not tested and assumed the machine only reaches 90 degrees, it will reach 99 degrees WITH Furmark as long as you are testing it inside a non Aircon and in a typical Singapore tropical environment.

Furmark will also stress test your desktop to the max if you are allowed to test your desktop GPU to the max. The actual tester that will give you a "real world" stress test is 3DMark06. The max temperature for 3DMark06 tested by Sager is 86. This will apply to pretty much all games you will be playing.

Under "real world" long hour gaming scenarios, your machines will reach the 80s temperatures. Temperatures in the 80s are still considered safe. Please don't use the Furmark testing tool too much unless you want to burn out your computer.

wPRIME? when i test it with my T7200 it did reached very high temperatures...thats what i use to check my CPU condition.....

about Furmark , yes i heard about this graphics spoiler tool :D
but never though that np8662 which has a very good cooling system also reached past the temperature limit..

i wonder if those G51VX owners who complained about their GPU and CPU heating up so quickly even on normal usage , tried it on furmark...must past the water boiling points :D

try the EVEREST...
its a software to check every single thing inside your laptop...
starting from your processor speed , multiplier , fsb , RAM timings , volts , brands ..basically everything

So what's ur brand?

i ordered a pair of crucial sodimms from the website...im kinda paranoid with Kingstons which is found most on the singapore market...
since that it is not possible to choose what brand of RAMs to be put inside (and also harddisk)
i prefer to order myself.

i think most got the no-brand no-sticker samsung RAM?
my dv6500t also got that....

i was thinking of getting an QX9300 instead of Q9000 but then the price is ultimately high , and there was no barebones that comes without processor thou...

but certainly im thinking of that upgrade one year later...
