Here is a nice picture for you to see the work from a repair shop that claims to be "recommended by Sager". Use at your own risk. [/QUOTE said:

Pls check with your customer before posting this comment.

We have check this problem when your customer come over to our service centre.
He told us he could not boot up the laptop and the power will be shut off itself once started.

Our tech check on the spot and found power adaptor shut off itself was due to short-circuit. And your pic show the burning part which caused the short-circuit. So its mean that before he came to us, the GPU was already burnt. We also show him the burnt part. And nothing was done and return to him. Also advise him to send back USA as under warranty.

He should have gone to some place or your service place before coming to us. Pls double check with him or ur service place before posting.

I think you owe us apology and we take it very seriously. You have 24 hrs to make an apology statement. We will took legal action in due course.

Look at the picture carefully. We are not interested in the burn marks. We're interested in the missing parts.

If the whole GPU have the burnt part, do you think any technician will go further repair or return back??

And do you have any proof that we are the party who cause the missing part??

Could it have happen due to high temperature and during the GPU got burn? Possible??

As far as we know, this laptop have been sent over to you for repair at least two time within a year before coming to us.

Pls provide evidence that we should be blame for. If not, pls post an apology statement with 24Hrs.

We don't know who is responsible. You are the latest entity that was looking at the laptop before Sager. This picture is posted by Sager.

We dont care who you think was responsible.

Before posting, you should think all the possible that may cause the missing part.

And your post stated you determine it was us.

If you cant provide the evidence, you are wrongful to state that we should be blame for.

You have 24hrs to act.

Thanks

As the last person/company to open the item, you should take responsibility.
As a gesture of goodwill, we think you can pay for the item.
Go ahead and call you your lawyer :)

Now the matter was not responsible. We may not be the last person/company to open the items, you are the very last person/company who recieved the laptop and sent over to Sager, am I right??

The matter was you have determine that we are to be blame. And very sure that we have to do with the missing part if not you will not point finger that us.

Yet you cant prove any to support your post. Right.

Thanks

We are spending hundreds/thousands of dollars to get the machines to Sager for the best service. Do you really think we could be bothered to open up the laptop? Let the most qualified company do it. We have better things to do with our time :)

When you mention about hundreds/thousands of dollars, you have enlighten me.

It make more sense when you said that.

Since this laptop was not the first time doing RMA, It will cost alot more n this laptop will be huge loss than profit.

You earn a hundred but yet have to pay at least $700 or even more than this amount if this laptop allow its third RMA. In business line, those good in business will know that for sure was a joke. Who want to loss in business?? Are there anyone out there willing to? I let him the business and see how he can survive with that.

He/ company was the very last man with the laptop, so who know?? The time was on thier side.

So businessman have to or must think of way to recoup n minus it. Since this businessman know his client have sent to other for check/repair. He may or possible took this opportunity and let him pay the both shipment cost if found out parts lose and that the warranty does not cover. And point finger to the other and let him feel it was really his fault to sent to other for check. And the company cant help RMA free of charge, he must pay for it.

After analyse, it make alot more sense now.

As for us, what benefits do we get??? :s8: That will be shooting our own foot if we dont want to survive in this line. We dont even charge him any for check. We also advise him to sent back to Sager as under warranty. Do you think we so stupid digging own grave??

Clearly, Mucro Asia after support service is not up to standard. They keep pushing on sales, once the laptop is handed over, contacting them for repair and support they will tell u that "have to send to USA".

Why Sgcubehub is capable to servicing the laptop? because mucro asia techican is clearly not experience or capable in troubleshooting and end up creating more damage. Low pay, low skilled tech what service you expect? :s27:

I think if the laptop is still under warrenty from Sager, it's only expected to send it back to them (their US counterpart) for repair ba. If the warrenty from sager is over, we can only use local services lor

I definitely do not think that SagerNoteBook is THE SAGER though.

Anyone selling their NP8690 to by the NP8150/8130? :D

What is the major diff between 8150 and 8130 btw?

Hi Holybell

I heard that the NP 8150 has better thermal cooling potential and so it can accomodate the GTX 485M GPU. Not too sure what's different beyond the GPU capability...

Maybe Sager NoteBook is cubehub? Since these are the only 2 sager retailers that I know off....

Come on.

YOU guys are BELIEVING a ONE POST account. Skylineweee

ONE POST.

The guy signed up just to post THIS ONE REPLY?

And coincidentally that ONE REPLY is to condemn mucro.asia?

And he never came back?

I think its obvious what I'm trying to say.

Its nice to give the benefit of doubt, but try to do some logical reasoning.

That's a good point sushibiscuit.

If skylinewee doesn't make further posts, the things that he said will be highly suspect for being malicious. Failed to notice that he only has 1 post and it's a recent signup. I wonder if our Sager resellers in Singapore have a blood feud with each other...

Anyway, to all past and present Sager laptop users, I'm going to buy a Sager notebook soon because of its lighter weight and reputation as compared to its competitors. However, I'm torn between the Sager NP 8130 and NP 5160.

- Both models offer the Intel i7-2630QM, Sandy Bridge
- But the NP8130 offers a GTX 460M, the NP5160 offers a GT 540M.
- Is there a need to upgrade the CPU?

BTW, I'm using this notebook for office work, internet surfing, research applications and definitely gaming until 2011 when I will set up my Sandy Bridge Desktop to take over the gaming functions.

I hope to play COD: Black Ops, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Medal of Honor on medium-high settings.

Hope to hear your comments and recommendations soon!

I think the difference is mainly in terms of the configurations offered. I guess you could say that 8130 is the lower end version of the 8150. You can also have a matte screen with the 8130 but it only comes with GTX 460M and not 485M.

I'm going for the NP8150 with GTX 485M and i7-270QM.

Ahhhh... Can't wait. =:p

NP8130 has a smaller PSU compared to NP8150 (hence u cant get the higher-end gpu)

NP8130 has a matte screen whereas NP8150 has a glossy screen

NP8130 comes with a default 8gb ram as compared to NP8150

NP8130 cost around 100 too 200 lesser and has 4gb more ram than NP8150 ;p

basically u save some cash and get xtra ram, a matte screen but limited choice for future upgrading.

anyway, I just got my NP8130. Thumbs up for MucroAsia for delivering the laptop on sunday night 9pm! Laptop came in good condition (or so it seems :/ need some more testing to be sure). The laptop has a nice black "glitter" finishing instead of a pure black colour. The weight is rather light and as usual the power brick... is still a huge brick. The screen looks good and has a wide viewing angle but i'm not sure how well the matte screen works under sunlight since its 10pm now...

Matte screen still a lot better though, glossy screen tires the eye quickly, especially since I use computer for over 8-10hrs a day. Hmmm... having a 16:9 full hd matte screen means that it's possible for me to change my screen to a matte one as well.

The only good thing for glossy screen is that I can see my boss coming from behind when I am working....
