oh...by the way ,we havent heard the lucky draw winner is....:D

We've actually prepared the lucky draw and wanted a customer to pick the draw upon delivery. Turns out he picked "Collection at PC Dreams". Its only a matter of time someone picks "Cash on Delivery" and we can get the customers to pick the draw.

Yes.. Should be able to. You have 5x chances to change region code reading, then you are stuck with the last one (un)fortunately. :)

I doubt that laptop lcd screen will go back to 16:10. 16:9 will be the norm.

Don't bother playing the catch up game. There's just no stop to it.

Who told you that the screen will change back to a normal screen 16:10?
The machines are fixed at 15.6 inch now and will be 15.6 for the next one year of Core i7. That means HD+ and FHD should be fixed for the rest of the one year product lifespan.

manufacturer will not go back to 16:10
they said 16:9 is for customers' sake for better viewing of movies...
its all bollocks..

the real reason is they want to reduce the manufacturing cost but at same time selling you 16:9 screens for 16:10 price...

what i mean by normal is "matte" screen instead of glossy surface...

Unfortunately, you are right. All the LCD Panel makers are making the Panels to this specification so in general the industry has to follow and adopt. Its also a majority expectation for people who want to use their machines as a home theater.

The screens are both glossy for the HD+ and FHD screens. This means its actually catering more on consumer tastes and less on worker's tastes. Majority rules again.

not sure whether I should post here or somewhere else, if somewhere else please do let me know.

yesterday when I got my 8662, installed Win 7 no issue. when I tried to install Win XP SP3, I got blue screen twice. Not sure whether is due to the fact that Win 7 already resides in the lappie... So now cannot dual boot.

Anyone playing older game on Win 7 (or XP mode)? Any issue?

Both are good for sales.

From communications, Mucro appears more active and confident. Whether it will translate to good service is a matter of speculation for now.

@Mr Enigma: the default specs without OS except the following:
Processor:45nm Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T9600 / 6MB L2 Cache 2.80GHz 1066MHz FSB (add 208)
Operating System:None - Select From The Options Below
Memory:4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 2 X 2048MB (add 79)
Primary Hard Disk Drive:500GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive (add 119)
total after 3% discount is slightly less than 2.5K. Now is cheaper cos the time I ordered was end of Oct.
