So what I wanted to check with sgcube or mucro was whether they apply better thermal paste before selling to us...

I don't think putting in a thermal paste mod makes much difference. The thermal pad from Clevo seems to do very well already judging from the GPU temperatures in the NP8690.

We've never really measured the difference between our thermal pastes mod and a normal thermal pad. It might be just one or two degrees difference.

i heard that removing the sticker causes the cpu to drop by 8C and the GPU went up by 3C.

eh anyone got any idea whats the sop or operating procedure for mucro asia online ordering of sager laptops?

when i paid deposit and email them, they gave me a fast reply.
but a week plus later, when i email them for updates on the actual status of my order, till now they havent reply yet...

the status now is still deposit paid and pending, but pending what? did they already place an order with the US side or is my sager laptop in the assembly state or preparing to ship stage?

feedback: its alittle unsettling when a customer paid a deposit but was left in the dark, clueless about whats going on in the background.

totally stun... found a very recent added update to their website...

"All Sager laptops require a 10% non refundable cash deposit now. This rule applies to Cash on Delivery laptops."

the last time i tried calling, i always end up with the answering machine system telling me to enter the extension number of the person i trying to reach, after i press for the operator... the only phone number they provided was to this "advanced" answering system that begins with the number "3"... haiz... i just hope i can get it within the next 14days, need it for school very soon ><"

edit: i have yet to succeed in reaching the operator, and had enough of this "answering system"...

yesterday, i called the number 3 answering system again, this time selecting the sales department. To my delight, my call was soon picked up by a sales officer who told me that some hours before my call, my ordered laptop as well as another customer's has started shipping from the us, and will reach sg late this week or early next monday =D

Been eyeing the order status in the mucro website for changes but so far no changes were made.

Will they contact me by email or phone before they pick a date and time to deliver to me? or will they just pick a date and time, then call me just before they arrive? Its saturday already tml, getting excited and anxious at the same time haha

they will call you when your laptop is ready for you to choose what time is the best for the delivery

Are Sager hareware durable? Compare to Asus products?
Are they able to last 4-5 years at least?
