video is great althou what is shown is still a few years away...

you can not possibly see much from the projector at day time.. it is a pico projector with 9 ansi lumen. You will need atleast 200-300 ansi lumen to lit in a bright room with decent quality. 200-300 ansi lumen in a pico projector is still quite far away... eg the most powerful atm is 30 ansi lumen for a pico.

they can do those if they turn the lights off at night thou :p

I had updated my beam to JI1 at service center on thursday...
I would said that JI1 was much improved from JH1 firmware, everythings were much smoother and responsive.it's smooth enough that I dun have to OC. :D
btw,I have backed up and installed back every apps and settings with titanium backup,a nice apps that help to update firmware easily:)

Hi to any Expert,

I intend to get the new hp from starbhub as my currently one is faulty. Inital intention is to get the S but not available unless I switch service provider.

May I seek your opinion on how far away if Beam is compared with S?

Next, if you have only the option to choose between Beam, HTC desire and HTC HD2, which one do you think is the best among them?

Kindly advise..thx

Check out the link below:

This will help you select the best, but IMO I prefer the Galaxy S as it is slimmer.

Actually I also want to get the S at first but now I'm happy with beam.:)
starhub is selling galaxy S but stocks are very limited, you might need to hunt for it if u really want.however, price of galaxy s is not nice with starhub.:s8:
Beam got almost identical software as the S. Social Hub, Aldiko eBook, Layar, ThinkFree Office and Swype input, ect.
In compare to S,beam got better camera with flash, pico projector and better battery life.

HTC HD2 is confirmed out of my selection because of windows mobile.:( If u want big screen then u might want to wait for Desire HD to release but it will be not cheap.
IMO,if desire and beam are of same price, getting beam is more worth it.
by the way,if u go HTC user group there, there is a thread complaining the poor service of HTC Singapore which scared me on getting HTC phone.:o

Thank you all for your fruitful advice.

Based on the recommandation, seem like Samsung is better package than the HTC.

I need a good camera (as my current faulty phone is also come with 8 megapixiels), but not the projector. Battery life is also very important to me as I travel oversea frequently. No time charge in the hotel.

However, most current top notch smartphone come with 1 GHz CPU and was wonder whether does the 720 Mhz processor from Beam is slacking as compare with the others. Other than that, the weight and size of the Beam is my 2nd concerns.

Cheers
