I overclock and use at 900mhz 24/7 and the battery life is very ok. My major usage of battery is the display!

I meant just turning the projector on and off but obviously a reset does it too :)

I was able to landscape view pictures in the default phone gallery app, is that what you meant?

Does overclocking greatly improve the speed? How high are the risks when overclocked to that number? Thx

i posted benchmark some pages ago, have a look at those. basically your phone will perform similarly to a Htc desire/N1 on 2.1 with the overclock. Nothing spectacular but is nonetheless a great improvement.

not much risks unless you went crazy and up the voltage to a crazy level :p

If you have windows 7 then it won't sync, you need to have vista. But I sync my phone to my gmail account so yea I dun even use Kies

Please advise - Headphone problem?

Hi,

I just bought my samsung beam and I'm very impressed with it. Though it cannot beam samsung galaxy s with its speed, but the projector is good enough to make it unique.

I have encountered some problem that I hope my fellow beam users can give advise on.

When I use my headphones to listen to the music or radio, the volume is loud and clear. However, when I use my headphones to watch movies on the phone, the volume is extremely soft. I have to increase the volume up to nearly 70% to have a decent volume. I switched headphones but all with same problem. I tried the headphones on a galaxy s and it does not have this problem.

Can someone advise if there's a problem with my phone hardware of software? Also, what can I do to resolve it?

Have a great day!

Are u playing movies on the default video player? You should try either rockplayer or meridian ..I believe its the video player thats limiting the sound

I dun think we'll ever get specific accessories for beam. for the moment the only choice is to just buy a large pouch.

just bought a mobile holder for car from mustafa for 5$...pretty good as it allows me to put it anywhere in the house to project movies in any direction and speaker or any buttons is not blocked when clamped to it...

TO all Samsung Galaxy BEAM Users,

If you have any bugs, problems or questions on your BEAM,please post on Samsung Mobile Singapore Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/SamsungMobileSingapore
As the phone is already EOL (in just 3 months),we can only complain on Samsung Mobile Singapore Facebook page as it's the only place we can get support.
After conversation with Samsung SG lately,it seem that BEAM will get zero update or support after JI1 firmware. Hopefully we can get better software if we pressure them in Facebook.
Lastly,We are SCREWED!! :(

Don't bother, Samsung don't respond to complaints on their FB at all. Happened with Samsung Jet and OmniaHD, tons of complaints, in the end, nothing.

There's no point complaining to SamsungMobileSingapore. They only distribute and give feedbacks to HQ. They can't do anything about it if HQ says no..
