Exynos 1280 Samsung 5nm process but use more power compare to SD780G (using the same 5nm process), aka the brother of SD778G (TSMC 6nm process)
It's weird samsung is taking a "downgrade" path moving forward and selling at a higher price than the A52s.
Where did you hear that the A73 is coming to sg?
Imda database lists a73Where did you hear that the A73 is coming to sg?
I think from Samsung position A53 as a direct A52 4G/5G replacement, not as a A52s replacement. Do note that A52s did not make it into many countries, so to them A53 is indeed an upgrade. It's weird samsung is taking a "downgrade" path moving forward and selling at a higher price than the A52s.
err... A52s is the upgrade of A52. So to launch another upgrade that is of lower specs in terms of the SOC is not weird? A52s is available in many countries. listed doesn't means it coming. take it pinch.
Only reason I can think of is that they are willing to pay for 5G plans and the A52s apparently doesn't support 5G SA according to our local telcos. So, overall, the particular Samsung mid-ranger value package is still present on the A53 5G. However, Samsung didn't exactly get away scot-free with the few yet surprisingly-impactful changes it made on the A53 compared to last year's model. Namely the move to an in-house Exynos 1280 chipset instead of the tried-and-true Qualcomm solution.
The Exynos 1280 is just an all-around downgrade compared to last year's Snapdragon 778G 5G. No way around that. Not a major downgrade, but still enough to beg the obvious question - why would anyone want to get the A53 5G instead of the still-available Galaxy A52s 5G?
