Fold or Fold 2

Hi seniors,

I have been a Note user since Note 8, 9 and now the 10 plus. Don't really need the S-Pen but good to have sometimes to take notes or annotate on pictures to share.

Thinking of getting a Fold now (by re-contracting) from Telco as my contract is eligible to. I understand that there are leaks for the Fold 2.

Main differences is a bigger front screen, no camera cut-out for inner screen and most important 120Hz refresh rate. And possibly an S-Pen. Of cos with other upgrades like camera, ram, etc.

May I seek your opinion do you all think to get a Fold now, or wait for the Fold 2 to be released? Likely August with the Note 20 series?

Thanks a million.

Really depends ... if you are not in a hurry then wait ...

Of course if you buy now with telco plan.. you get the additional freebies that we did not get such as the TV (can sell if dont want) and Subscription (kinda useless if ya not a drama fan)

Not in a hurry. I think the deal breaker is price and waiting time. The TV is tempting though.

How many of you guys wished for an S-Pen on your Fold? Was it easy to use fingers for occasional annotations? Do you find the cover display a bit small or is it alright for quick glance/reply of messages and/or calls?

Thanks.

I use the front screen all the time for messages, WhatsApp and Internet browsing. And I have big hands.. S pen good to have but not really a must. I had the Note 10 plus before and I hardly use the stylus anyway.

Actually the small screen when folded makes the phone very unique even though the usability is compromised.

Like a crossbreed between Nokia Communicator form factor and the styling of a Vertu ;)

Thanks all seniors for your opinion.

It is true I also seldom use my Note 10+ pen. I bought the 10+ for its screen size primarily. And i dread putting it on the table for example, when going lunch and perhaps meeting but needed to look at notifications without exposing the big inner screen for scratches.

The fold is actually quite good for me as the cover screen enables me to view notifications while at home can use the inner screen for my eyes.

Now the deciding factor is the bigger cover screen (which I'm quite skeptical, although the leaks mention it will be edge to edge, that it will not be so big as the rendered pictures) and of cos the 120Hz inner screen which some claims will be very smooth.

I did for a while, didn't like the aspect ratio. When watching videos because it's mostly square thr actual video size isn't much bigger than the fold. Alot of apps were quite odd too because of the square screen.
