i think got one batt monitoring app which points to google contact sync also.

Don't drain it completely. You'll shorten the lifespan of the battery like that. It's also not a good idea to constantly keep the battery fully charged, though you can charge it at any time. Lithium ion batteries don't suffer from the memory effect. My Lenovo U300S' power management feature specifically keeps the battery charged at the 50% level instead of 100% in order to prolong the battery life. On the other hand, you don't need to go to the Samsung service centre to change your battery... the Note 3's battery is easily removable. Just get a new battery for 50 bucks or so (not sure of the exact cost) and pop it in. You'll spend more time shutting down the phone than popping in the battery really.

Thanks so much for the advice.
What worries me is the lifespan of the battery. If my battery happens to be damaged during the next 6 months, i can exchange for a brand new one at the service centre.

I do not wish to spend $50 or so to change to a new battery without learning how to take care.

You were using another android phone previously I suppose? Android will auto-download and reinstall all the apps previously installed under your Gmail account each time you set up your phone initially. That could be why you're experiencing battery drain initially.. I'm just guessing anyway haha.

Just make sure don't over heat your battery.

In fact, soon you should be get the N3 battery GOLD version from Qoo10 which should cost you around 10 plus.

I buy one for my note b4, can last about 9 months, cost me only 9 plus.

This comparison quite subjective ba.

1) you be be sure they are connected to the same cell or BS or even the path taken by the packets

2) N2 and N3 may use different 4G chip

3) the software for the chip is different as well, so is the radio version

Theres quite a few factors ba.

with all the 3rd party batteries incident being reported recently, is the gold battery reliable?

do you think getting a cooling pop would work?

I also find the Note3 much slower than my previous Note2 which I had traded in.
I have tested with my friend's S4 and Note3, at same location, same time with the Speednet,
found out that the Samsung S4 is very much faster (above 40) than the 2 Note3(about 20).
[all were using Singnet 4G, tested with M1 4G Note3, also same.]
Since Note3 is new, and according to the specs that they had informed => much faster,
to have such slower speed is sad. :(
I hope that they can find the fault, and help us rectify.(for free :D )

U shld nt use speeed test to gauge. U shld all load a website at the same time and see which loads faster. Anyway, there r also other factor tht affects the speed too. Having a faster car not necessary means u reach ur destination faster.

But if course if its a 1-2s lag, i think its small issue. If u r saying 1-2mins lag, then i think its a huge problem.
