is there anyway to launch the camera without unlocking the phone, i.e., apart from using Swipe to unlock?
I wanna put password but I want access to the camera quickly too...

go to Settings -> Lockscreens -> enable multi-widgets
choose camera

swipe right to access camera... hope that works :X

It seems that the Samsung logo appears a few times when the phone is booting up, and my lockscreen actually appeared in between. Do you guys notice that too? I thought I was getting a bootloop! I have a non rooted phone.

The phone auto-disables mobile data when connected to wifi which saves a lot of battery. The mobile data radio takes up a lot more power anyway. There's also an option specific to the note 3 to use mobile data in conjunction to wifi when the wifi signal is unstable, a good compromise between saving power and having a crappy wifi connection.

I thought other phones also can? U just have to on wifi and connect to a wifi with ur data on and it auto switches ma. Not specific to note 3 ma.

Or u trying to say it logs on to wifi network but using data?

Is there a free alternate lockscreen that can put widgets like dashclock. I dun like the sammy 3-window widgetscreen. Doesnt show the details until i tap it

But it only works if "swipe" is selected hotels under screen lock? Any other password required options do not have this multi-widgets options...

Anyone know if theres an app or shortcut to holding on home button which access the task manager? Need it so dont have to keep on holding home button to access the task menu, i am kind of worried that the home button will get spoil after long usage

Honestly I think Samsung's hardware button is pretty good. No problems with my note 1 button for 2 years. Not like fruit phone one.

Thanks, but did your lockscreen show up in between the flashing of the logos? It's so weird as I've had a few Samsung phone and tablet but never encountered that before.

it always hang my Camera when active, ends up I disabled it and use third party apps to lock my phone without pushing the power button.
