I just hope it doesn't lag. Went to Challenger Funan to play with the S4. Am eyeing the Note 3 not S4 but wanted to see it anyway. Don't know if something was wrong with the demo set or if all S4 are like that, but the lag was shocking.

Tilted the phone horizontally and it took about 3 seconds for the screen to change from portrait to landscape view. WTH?? Its almost instant on iPhone 5!

seems like key lime pie coming in late oct.
i think note 3 might not come with it.
considering they reveal in sep. by then the units would already be in production to be ready for sale in nov.

too long for listing out here...
main difference is contrast and backlit and no backlit.

so:
Comparison of CRT, LCD, Plasma, and OLED - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

as to which one is better...it's still quite subjective, because it all depends on the users'/viewers' preference really.

but so far...the most prefered versions for these 2 display tech are the IPS LCD and the AMOLED

Doesn't sound very practical making 2 identical models with the type of screen being the only diff. Doubt it will happen. Hope the screen doesn't exceed 6". Tried the Mega that day and it could NOT fit into my jeans pocket!!

There are also rumors of it using the octa core. One thing I like about the note series is that there are lesser variances of the same hardware. I hope samsung is consistent with the note 3 just like the note 2.

octa core is just gimmick.
basically only running on 4 core at any 1 time at most.
i rather they give me a faster quad core.

they should be announcing a couple of days ahead of IFA in their own event if not wrong.

that's in sept. similar to last year iirc.
by the time available in sg locally...should be oct/nov

Samsung's tactic is give consumer many choices mah.

Galaxy Note 3: For those who want big screen and the best hardware inside and willing to pay the price

Galaxy S4/S4 Active/S4 LTE-A: For those who want the top hardware but doesn't want the big screen of Galaxy Note, and willing to pay the price

Galaxy S4 Mini: For those who want close to S4 specs, willing to sacrifice a little of specs for a much smaller phone.

Galaxy Mega 6.3 - For those who want big screen but don't mind mid-range specs for lower price

Galaxy Mega 5.8 - For those who want big screen, don't mind without LTE for dual SIM, don't mind mid-range specs for lower price

These 5 products already cover 90% of the consumer range liao, those who just want even cheaper phones can look at the bottom range phones or previous generation flagships. Note how they are still creating and selling S3 LTE and Galaxy Note LTE (as a matter of fact, all Galaxy S (S1 to S4) have LTE variants too
