I understand Note 3 comes with a USB 3 cable. So if our PC or Mac only has a USB 2 port, we would need to get a converter I guess?

Yeah, i have this device that plug into a USB 2.0 port to somehow draw more power to charge it faster, not sure if it will be as fast as a USB 3 port though.

From the video, it look at note 1.

Behind the cover seem just added 1 thin layer of fake leather. Quality seem not there if compare to note 2.

Abit disappointed. Really need to see the real stuff before decided to buy or not.

I dont think i will use full function of the stylus.

it is optional. it will fallback to usb 2
as for me, i don't think i will be getting a converter for it.

After this Note 3, i will prob try other brands, depending on how they will perform next time or if Samsung has change their designed or upgrade their material. Who call the other brands 不真气 (dunno i write correctly or not )

The closest one is HTC and Sony liao.

I read that the qualcomm chip somehow will make charging speed comparable to about 2-3hrs plus for a huge battery or something like that. But seriously, i have this device, it really makes charging the phone through a USB 2.0 port much faster man. I used to plug in my S2 from 0% to 100% with the phone on and it took 5-6hrs charging, with the device it shortened to 3-4hrs+

Yeah, that's the number 1 priority and also battery life. Since i use my phone and it's features quite a lot, performance and battery duration is far more important to me than looks. But TBH the Galaxy line of phone need a design overhaul. Maybe they sacked the designer liao and still haven't found one

its really faster! although i have never really try it out before, but i own a WD passport with usb 3.
if it can transfer data at a faster speed, i am sure charging time will also lessen.
provided you're using usb 3 male and usb 3 female

yeah! features and battery life are the primary selling point, wherelse the appearance is the secondary.

i understand how every consumer feel about phone design these days. lets take note 3 for example, consumers want big screen, S-pen and physical home button. the most they can do is to change the placement of these. quite restricted/ constraint

I have used S pen for scribble some note...especially double tap feature for emergency note taking.

But i dont see myself use S pen until that kind of level they demonstrate.

It is a bonus for S pen function, but i wonder how many people use until that level ?

Write something, then ask them to google to check.

Very difficult to go into google website and keyword ?

I think practical usage more important.

Maybe i havent reach IT savy until that level.

It is getting like abit complex for me.

Per year you are using about 914 for a phone.

Much expensive than a laptop now, handphone.

do u own a usb 3 external hdd? cable is the same. normal usb port to mirco usb3.0

Nope. My external HDD is firewire 800.

I think it will be somewhat like S4. I feel the S4 is pretty nice to hold and feels more solid. Performance wise i think it's a huge jump from Note 1 to 3. How much was Note 1 when you got it? So what will you be getting?
