as in jb faster then ics after flashing?

With speedmod k5-3. Noticed the jb's ui are more faster when loading app. Internet page loading speed are more faster, music player got more equalizer options, I don't have battery draining issue after flashing into jb (still monitoring..). The only cons probably still not used to the jb ui as of now.

Back to my previous flashing issue, noticed I had went through "Hidden, factory and cache" before completed, any clue of this? Many Thanks for your step by step procedure!!

hmm.. not that I'm aware of. if you are on that screen... after a while, it will start to flash... if more than 15 min mean something is wrong...try to put the jb file into your desktop instead of c drive/folder/folder/folder....

It is always recommended to do a factory reset whenever there is an update or even if u wanna flash a kernel or a custom rom. It is always stated to do a factory reset and have enough battery juice on xda website.

But it depends on you if you dont wanna do a factory reset. Each on his own preference.

I have always done a factory reset and so far my note, without the speed kernel is smooth and the battery can last for, yesterday was 17 hours with 41 percent remaining.

Agreed on the factory reset issue.. no yes or no rule on whether u should factory reset after a major firmware upgrade. Major refer to Gb to ics to Jb.. but of course, it's recommend to do so, esp major upgrade...as certain app need to reinstall as to to optimised on new firmware..but if u wish to factory reset, pls try to be on safe kernel

Nope, however I am facing 2 issues with 1 crashing whenever I trigger.

1) Page Buddy not able to activate. Setting>Display>Page Buddy
2) Notification Panel Crash!! Setting>Display>Notification Panel

Anyone facing the same issue as what I see? Using Singapore ROM by using the guide in this forum.

2) no problem on that.. maybe you use launcher or just a case of bad install...

Sometimes, it's good to buy apps as it pay off the developer and giving him credit for his hard work in creating the app. it also gif him fund so that he can work on enhancing the app..I myself have purchase a few apps ever since I started using android. ( SGS days). Having say dat, as Android is an open source, thus there are always ways out there.

All right updating to 4.1.2 i actually rooted my phone with some mod that i have forgotten the name could not update via the phone so connected to kies to update and it seems to be working.

Now need to root phone again before i can use titanium which i backed up my phone with.

using stock with speedmod kernel k5-3. Coming from ICS 4.0.4, also with speedmod k3-13.

2) I see, did not install any launcher other than Widgetsoid. Disable that and restart phone still not working. Don't understand how could it be of bad install. Anyway to clear cache using stock rom? Factory Reset will removed all things and data that I have installed right?
