Not sure why but my Watch 5 korean set unable to update firmware through samsung wearable connected to my phone through bluetooth. It shows "copying update to your watch" but after running for 15-20 mins still stuck at same screen and nothing happens. End up had to factory reset the watch and then using wifi directly download and install the update through the watch. In the process had to reconfigure everything on the watch again and lost the BP/ECG mod i previously installed.

Mine's Korean model. Managed to install without any issues.

Didn't notice any significance change since my update and I've my wifi, GPS and NFC turn on.

Been using temepered glass sp on the watch face since Day 1 so most of the dirt and dust are trapped on the edges. Once in a while i just use alcohol wipes to clean the watch face and back where the sensors are.

anyone having this strange issue with your Watch 5's Samsung Health app whereby whenever u start a walk or run, it will try to connect to GPS and then say can't connect to GPS. don't care wait for how long, it will always say can't connect to GPS.

but then after i start Samsung Health walk/run, if i manually disable GPS on the watch, wait a seconds and then enable it again, Samsung Health app will very fast connect to GPS again.

tried restarting the watch and checking for updates, still the same problem.

now every time when i want to do a GPS walk/run, i need to start Samsung Health walk/run, wait for it to say can't connect to GPS, and then go disable and re-enable GPS, wait for it to successfully connect to GPS, and then start my walk/run.

Whatsapp is now available on WearOS officiailly

I installed this and realize that whatsapp notifications no longer show up. Once I delete it, notifications appear again.

Just got this watch brand new local set at $270, what a steal. Was contemplating between this or classic, ended with this due to bigger battery life and saved quite a bit of money.

Anyone has nice bezel or straps to recommend? I like the original magnetic strap that it came with, may get those (knockoffs) in other colors.

Whatsapp on wearos is bad. There is quite a bit of delay in receiving notifications. I too have deleted the app.

Yes I realised too. I was on beta version initially and the delay wasn't so bad. Unlike the playstore version now which is worse.

anyone suddenly have issues with using Samsung Pay on MRT?

when tapping my Watch5 on the MRT gantry, the watch will say payment successful but the MRT gantry will say invalid card. but if i use my S21 to tap, no issue.

last time Watch5 no problem.

a few months ago, I saw an article that they are giving those Korean set Samsung pay app, but till now I don't see it yet. I'm currently using export set from Korea and only have Google pay. Samsung Pay feels better as don't need to light up screen and go to the app to make transport payment.
