Guys, I broke my note edge screen last month. Today my wife broke her note edge screen. Just by dropping on the floor face down. We are using the flip cover.

Any buddies know where's the cheapest way to repair the screen? Have to replace the screen..

It's still new...outside shop still no have.....no choice must go Samsung to repair.....note 4 price is $350....edge maybe $400 above...

Sadly I didn't. But this is the first time I've used a vulnerable phone, plus the height not that high, probably from hip level only. Note 3 and 4 plus iPhone still can tahan repeated droppings.

Note edge no give chance..

The curved screen kena hit ma...normal phones got flat surface, so very low chance of suffering direct impact to the screen.

I think its due to a short cut. Press the home button twice and the stupid thing will run I believe.

Just checking for my friend - she got a new note edge last night, booted it, cleaned off some bloat and disabled those she that can't be deleted (stock ROM non rooted), installed her apps from fresh but she noticed that the RAM usage keep exceeding 2GB even with no apps running/did a clean up of RAM.

I've used quite a lot of Samsung phones including the Note 4 which is identical hardware and software with the Note Edge, but I don't think the usage was this high.

What's your typical RAM usage for stock ROM?

I too think it's a too long wait for an update. There are probably too many variant for this phone causing the long delay. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I think i would probably skip Samsung for my next android phone. Have been using the Galaxy since s2 days and have used all note series and I change phone every year. Think it's time for a change. It's has come to a point that I feel no point spending on a high end phone and expensive phone without getting the satisfaction of running the latest and improved software. To me, both software and hardware are impt in a phone as a whole. The premium price paid for the phone is not justifiable for this level of software support. My gf LG g3 which she bought much cheaper and earlier than my note edge had been enjoying lollipop ages ago. Don't understand why Samsung is unable to keep up.

There are many alternatives out that. Will stick to Android, but definitely looking around this year end.

Why ask us? of course we will tell you it is good. But the buying decision should be yours and not ours.

By this year end, you be at the same crossroads IMHO. And then the whole cycle will repeat again. For me after using the 3 OS so far, I would still stick with Samsung.

Nothing beats something that you are familiar with. Who knows what surprises that other manufacturers have as well?

try looking up carousell, i rmb one of the sellers there quoted to repair note edge screen for $280, forgot which seller though
