Pay wave tried a few times already confirm no problem.

MFT tried for the first time today, have to try 2 to 3 times before it work. Thank God it's a ulu shop and no other customer. The shop keeper was keen to find out how it works as well so we just keep trying. Haha.

Can't quite tell difference leh haha. I just tried the weird angle phone to terminal position a few times for mst cause I didn't see the typical paywave terminal but nothing happened. Then I asked staff if can use paywave instead and luckily he said they have and it was on the same terminal but supposed to tap horizontally and transaction went through.

How do we know when to use nfc or mst? I got lucky cause my transaction was below $100 but I should figure out how to use mst in case I ever have to charge more than $100. Luckily the staff was patient lol. =X

I think it's just your preferences. Cards with pay wave or pay pass - if you want to swipe to pay also can Ma.

Yes i agree too, to launch an app for only certain minority group of users who has new phone models to use samsung app is horrible. :(

Really? That actually sounds scary since it's not supposed to be able to, lol.

Was it the self service terminal ? Perhaps actually it is using MST instead of paywave .
I tried few times using "credit / debit card" instead of "contactless card " option and it went thru.

But I don't know if it was paywave or MST in the end ha...

No. I went to customer service counter buy voucher. There is already a terminal on the counter. I asked the cso if that is contactless. She said No. Then took out another one say this is contactless. So I used the contactless one.

Anyway contactless and MST very different one. contactless one u tap on the screen. MST one you tap on the side of the terminal where the card swipes, where the card strike/notch is..

Well if you notice the self service machine in NTUC , it is contactless & chip based.
I didn't tap on the screen and tap on the side , and it worked. That is why I thought it may use MST instead - not necessarily paywave

mostly behind the counter and awkward to ask them take the MST out to let me tap, some still tell me don't accept mobile payment, no chance to explain the MST part.

if i see paywave terminals, i just request for paywave.
