Mine also have green line. What I was told in Samsung Vivocity is that if I send in for repair, I need to pay $54 but if they assess that it is the mainboard problem, I would need to pay 400++. Basically, it is a gamble. Does it not the case with those who pay only $54? You win you pay $54 but lose you pay $400++
No need to gamble.. usually they will call u to ask if u want to go ahead with the 400 plus repairs if its really motherboard issue after their assessment... if u say no, they will just return u the phone.

Doesn't that also means that if the green line is caused by the mainboard, I would have wasted $54 since I need to pay the amount upfront if I sent in for repair? Not a lot. Just wanted to know the pros and cons.

don't have to pay if they return your phone without repairing.

if its motherboard, they will charge you 400 plus the 54 dollars.

you pay only 54 dollars to repair green line if it is not motherboard problem.

But I was told that I need to pay $54 upfront before I sent in for their assessment? Not the case for you?

I was given the same warning at the plaza sing service centre.. and they were able to assess on the spot if it's mother board or screen... don't need to incur the $54 upfront.

Not sure if it is case by case.

But u have to backup your phone as they will do full factory reset at the counter before sending in for repair.

I suggest u go to the plaza sing service centre to talk to them. They have dealt with hundreds such cases. Make appt first before going down. The waiting time will be reduced significantly.

At the end of the day, it's a still big hassle. I ended up buying a new phone to back up the phone first before sending in for repair.. now the repaired phone is my spare phone

So the Vivocity branch lies to me? Anyway, I've already got a new phone as I judged that it is not worth it to pay for repair for my N20U since I need to upfront pay $54. If there is no need to pay for the $54, then I don't mind sending it for assessment as my N20U is still working pretty well.

nope. they checked for a week and found it was not hardware. didn't even need to pay 54 dollars for the repair as it was out of goodwill from samsung.

later then they started implementing this 54 dollars charge.

Samsung called me again and said no and they refused to give reason as to why a S20 can get fixed for $54 and my s22 can't. Just keep repeating is a case by case basis

Then just say no to them next time you upgrade your phone. They lose a lifetime samsung customer who buy their flagship phone over measly $400 faulty screen replacement.

Samsung also make lcd screen for apple screen hor. I suspect it hardware issue using firmware to warp around.

Apple also engage tiongkok screen maker to make screen for them hor. But samsuck green lines issue seem like even worse than apple. U take mrt and buses u notice there are seizable amount of samsuck user suffer from green lines, even those butterfly phone.
