Would like to ask seniors here which site is better.. Going next Jan with my wifey to relax. She like beach clear water and moderate night activities.. Thx guys

purely beach to relax? koh samui. hands down my first day in koh samui i didn't even wanna go out. but of cause you got to get yourself a nice hotel.

yeah go there nua. the hotel i stayed got 7 swimming pools. Took the mini bus with all the ang mor. 1st stop was the hotel i'm staying. 1 of the ang mor look at another ang mor asking is this your hotel? he replied he wish he was staying there.

1st day i had room service and nua in the hotel evening went to the function room they had movie screening which the whole place only me and my fiancee she fell asleep on the bean bag while watching.

Travelfish is the best site for beach guide especially Thailand.

Flying direct to Samui is expensive $300+ if promo else $500+

Flying to Phuket is much cheaper

Alternatively, can fly cheap to Samui but requires flight + bus + ferry around $200+

Can consider Maldives if no price concern

Maldives beaches are paradise (only the resort beaches)

I would go for phuket instaed ...
Flying there end of the year ... silkair 99sgd taxes in two way nett ...
even for budget airline promo, phuket is normally 70+ to 80+ two way taxes in

samui ticket much more expensive ...

krabi hatyai also not that many flights going there ...
this year apr , jetstar started launching their route to hatyai ...

seems like not much response i guess
they have been promoting less than 80sgd even for dec travel fri to mon, for at least 3 times already ... perhaps timing not so good, or demand is low ...

Got check if go bkk than take over nite train and ferry, but abt same price as direct, plus point is entire diff experience and can shop in bkk..

Mald is totally diff class liao lor.. And i was told lots of prc there now..

Don't need so troublesome, Thailand got so many nice islands for beach destination.

Koh Chang, both are great places that not so crowded and expensive.

BKK to Koh Chang not near, need to check what transport available.

how can over night train + ferry be about the same price as a direct flight?

1 pax air ticket from sg to koh samui is about 300+ sgd at least.

even if you over night train from bkk to surat thani then bus and ferry or flight from bkk to surat thani then bus and ferry maybe 2 pax 200+ total.
