The Clip+ stock earbuds aren't too bad though. Cymbals and acoustic guitar can sound a bit off, missing bass, but definitely a lot better than the IEMs that they supply with handphones.

The Dunu Trident is about $40 (slightly more in some places) but generally good reviews. Bassy, good build quality. I suggest you give them a chance when your current earbuds up lorry.

:D

On topic: Rockbox is quite pointless for me, as I now store everything in mp3 format. Didn't notice a difference in sound before/after rockbox. The apps are fun, but the Clip+ is already great as is.

Basically you rockbox it to play with more EQs . If you're a purist then don't bother with rockbox .

I bought a flio e6 shortly after the getting the clip zip so that I got some allowance in volume when listening to songs. The addition didn't degrade the music quality so no issue there. And I haven't try the eq settings with the zip or e6 yet, waiting for a chance to rockbox and try one day.

Buy the fuze? Can stick in Fiio's Sansa LOD. The Clip+ headphone out sounds just as good as an E7.

what you mean sound as good as E7?
tried an amped clip+ with E11, noticed tighter bass and better mid reproduction and a slight widening in the soundstage using B2 iem. problem is, i don know whats the actual sound of the amp lol

The EQ lowers the volume for me also.

The E7 is supposedly a good amp and DAC. It will make your PC sound very hiss free and "clean". The Clip+ sounds like this. neutral and clean. I have an E11 also, buying Fiio LOD tmrw. Didn't notice tighter mids, but it's a dark amp.

There would be a little difference but not much and you're also double amping .

Now a 8GB Fuze would cost 76.95USD . I'll just keep waiting .

Just received the battery I bought from ebay for my Fuze.
Damned.Bought from a guy who seems to be from UK,since his nick is UK Power. The battery he sent me is Cameron Sino branded. I had did a search on this brand and the reviews weren't good, with claims that the batteries aren't what the labels stated.Thought a UK one should beat this questionable brand.Ended up he sent me this brand, which is actually based in HK and shipped from SG.

Well,I have ordered a battery from ebay. Cost $23+. I hope I won't screw up the repair. If I do,then I probably will buy a Clip-Zip.The reviews looked good for this.
