Sandisk Sansa Clip+ ?

Just received the battery I bought from ebay for my Fuze.
Damned.Bought from a guy who seems to be from UK,since his nick is UK Power. The battery he sent me is Cameron Sino branded. I had did a search on this brand and the reviews weren't good,with claims that the batteries aren't what the labels stated.Thought a UK one should beat this questionable brand.Ended up he sent me this brand,which is actually based in HK and shipped from SG.

So meaning if our ears are not that "good" actually no need additional amp for the Zip?

Currently i still using my HTC Desire S as player with Shure SRH440 Headphone. I find the sound for the headphone too bright sounding and thinking of getting an amp to increase its bass and reduce its treble.

Now thinking of getting Sansa Zip with Fiio E11 amp.

or should i just stick to my HTC and add another amp?

anybody tried setting clip+ volume to 0 and manually controlling the volume from the amp. its supposedly to give you the closest sound of the amp, give and take a few %.

i tried it but since i dont have another player with a line out dock to test the differences, hoping to hear you guys opinions.

Amps are for driving headphones first and foremost. Some buy amps just to "complete" their portable rig. I got the E11 + Ipod 4G and I find that the E11 pairs very well with my hf5, especially with the bass boost settings to max.

Even without bass boost settings on, my hf5 sounds a little mellower than via Ipod hp out. Just to be on the safer side of things, I suggest you get the Sansa Fuze or something (not Fuze+), an LOD and an amplifier.

Most of the things you read (I'm assuming here) on head-fi is "noise" and "broscience". A lot of these people who know nothing about the science behind audio trying to justify their experiences with broscience/pseudoscience.

By plugging in the LOD into an Ipod/Iphone/Sansa Fuze, you are bypassing the internal amp of said mp3 players, which should give you the clearest, pure signal. In theory.

That said, I don't have the clip zip, only the Clip+. The Clip+ sounds very neutral on it's own, so I think if you add in an amp into the mix, the sound will sound very much like it was designed to.

Its not whether your ears are golden enough or not . The thing is Clip+ doesn't have a line out thus it would be pointless to add an amp to it .

Its pretty simple to decide actually . Just find the one that actually suits your requirements .

I would go with Fuze for its ability to line out .

It cannot become a true line out since you're not bypassing the internal amp, amiright? Besides, what does volume have to do with anything? If a certain media player has a flat frequency response, you will be able to hear the sound signature of the amp attached to it at any volume.

You're right . I don't really remember whether mine was the X1000 or X1050 but it should be X1050 as I know i bought it mainly because of the line out provided .

That volume thingy was a rumor based on SS amps through HTPC . I remember reading it in Head-Fi somewhere regarding about that .

If she want a small sized player , Clip+ definitely suits that criteria . I can't comment about SQ because i don't own the clipz or fuze+ . SQ of Clip+ / Fuze when rockboxed is definitely worth it for the price you're paying .

Used to have the Clip+, then sold it as I wanted to get other mp3 player, but after a while, I bought the Sansa Clip Zip again, it's just no match because of it's size and built in clip, only problem is the boot up is a LITTLE bit slow, but it's alright, since it's just a few seconds wait once.
