Did you rockbox your Clip+ ?

If yes , after rockbox , what do you think is still lacking other than the alittle narrow soundstage .

actually, i rockboxed my fuze but i still find that the songs are lacking in bass on flat eq settings. or maybe it could be my earphones since im using ath ckp300. was thinking whether to upgrade to better earphones or get a dunu trident w amp.. hmm. im quite a basshead. any recommendations? or how should i set my eq up to improve it?

I'm using IE8 with custom sleeves . Don't have any issues with lacking of bass . Just that the soundstage seems to be alittle narrow than usual after rockbox . I too am also a basslover .

You can PM madcap and ask . I have a spare amp i don't really need + some interconnects . If you're interested , i can give it to you for free since i don't need them anymore frankly . But for the amp wise , you have to ownself order the opamps from ebays .

i would like to go purist if my set up has enough power to deliver the amount of bass i want. but as u can see, my iems arent really top of the line so to deliver more bass, i usually have to tweak the eq of my DAP. however, sometimes i find that it seems to make the music sound unnatural. so, yeah. im caught in between. cant seem to be able to find the sweet spot tweaking the eq. :/ or maybe its just my iem not bass heavy enough or dap not able to drive it enough?

im pretty sure stereo, treoo sells them. or if u wan better quality ic u can DIY or get it from weibchen? not too sure but i rmb him selling some diy IC before. anybody can clarify??

yup.. same same.. i think its better if we get a cheap ready made one then go try tweak ourselves to experiment diy it before diy-ing one from scratch is better. haha.

IEM not bass heavy enough lar . Invest alittle more .

Yeah he sells DIY IC to your preference .
