Those SBF marked "repossessed" may already have reno done by previous owner.

Does HDB allow you to see the flat condition before booking? New BTO owners get everything new with warranty - repossessed SBF have anything?

Or must go purely by luck. I see the prices also no discount.

If i am not wrong, if u r assigned a ballot number u will be able to see the internal pics of those repossessed flats thru the flat details part.

Nope. For sbf is similar to bto, u have to indicate the area and type of flat u wish to ballot for. If out of range, then is try again next bto/sbf exercise

Does anybody know if I can amend my SBF application after I submitted? Applied for it yest but website might have been unstable and didn’t allow MCPS to be filed in.
Or is it possible to cancel the application and resubmit a new one?

Want to ask about the tenant priority scheme. Does not seems to have much info in hdb.

Taken from hdb page:
Eligibility conditions
You and your family must be first-timers (second-timers can apply from the May 2016 sales exercise onwards)
You and your family must have been living in an HDB public rental flat for at least 2 years

In that case, will the scenario below be eligible?

Under fiance/fiancee scheme
one is sg, one spr,
Only the Spr stay rented flat >2yrs

Some of the queenstown is from the leftover for sers

Thinking of going for the 5-rm in Queenstown. Would anybody be able to hazard a guess on which of the 5 Dawson SERS developments the 5-rm SBF flats would be in? I know Site-E does not have any 5-rm flats.

Is there also a chance that we might get an older 5-rm flat somewhere else within Queenstown?

Thanks a bunch!

U will be able to roughly see which site the units are located. Just click on the flat details and the area u r looking at which is queenstown.

Just selected 5 room from the drop down menu once u are at the page and u can see the site as well the pricing/unit number.

Is this before or after submitting the application? Because I don't see any option for "flat details" on the SBF page.

Click on the three dashes with the red circle just below the may 2019 sales launch title at the main sbf page. There u will see intro, flat details and etc. Click on flat details and the estate.

U can always google a combination of the road name of unit u are eyeing and the word 'murder', 'crime', 'arson', 'illegal', 'death', etc. If got bad history and it affects u, then dun go for it. Helpful also if u r looking for resale and wanna avoid certain blks or scared kids can see unnatural things.

History wise, sometimes its because the owner passed away and kids either quit the country or all own HDB flat, cannot take it up. Another scenario is spouse is non PR, cannot take up. Of course there are those whereby the owner got into crime and house either get seized for related offences, or because no one service loan when they kena locked up. I ever viewed a SBF flat whereby there was paint at door & also one whereby the neighbour told us that the unit previously had glue sniffing prbs.

Honestly, with some of the prices of older units vs those in resale market, if u wanna avoid all these $hit, den consider buying resale home and taking grant instead.

SBF include leftover and flat seized back by HDB.....either owners bo Lui Heng, or owner died and HDB take back.....:(

My 2 cents

Hey guys, looking at Tampines area.

Undecided between 4 room vs 5 room.
We can afford both, but looking at the price difference for example 4 room flat at level 10 would cost about 370K vs 5 room at level 10 at about 490K - So it is about 120K for the extra 21 square meter (Of course it gets bigger as the unit is located at higher floor).

Over the years, how does the price after MOP like in 4 rooms vs 5 rooms? Which one have a bigger % of increase in price of the unit? 4 room or 5 room?
Don't think we'll be staying in Tampines for long and hence the question.

dun dream of making money out of hdb. quite likely that mop time prices may remain the same or even lower than purchase prices. economy slowing is the hard truth now.

i can get the units without loans if I wanted also but i will just get what i can afford using minimum loan.
