Same here too :D do you have any idea which stacks are good etc? I checked on renonation and that's all. It doesn't look like a lot of them are that great :(

Actually it’s almost literally the most expensive ones are the better ones. I think the government did their homework. Lol. What number are you?

I guess the dropout will be very high because the May SBF/BTO application is not entitle to the new scheme to be announced in Sept.

Likely alot will give up and applied for the Sept BTO/SBF.

I may give up my selection if the more housing grand is given in sept. Any comment?

What this new scheme?

The supposed scheme is to assist 1st time families according to the link someone provided earlier.

If u qualify, why not give it 1 more shot since u can get more grants, get more choices for your affordable flat- if u fit the eligibility conditions lor.

"We have been working with MND to review the measures in place to support first-timers buying new and resale flats, and will share more details next month."

One launch apart = a few thousand dollars saved.
Can put the money into reno.

If u can wait and go for the resale house with ur preferred location for less, why not!
Rather than rush into a flat then have to cut back on reno cos burst budget.

I feel those selection date after scheme announcement damn lucky.
In oct or nov.
Sure jump ship. 😂

ya. i agree with u. my point also simple. if next ballot still can get good number then give up this time. dont forget new rule will bring more ppl to join in.

Regarding the income ceiling being raised. I doubt that would be the case.

It would be redundant if they were to introduce new scheme for 1st timer families obviously struggling to compete with everyone now.
And then raise income ceiling for EC applicable candidates to join the fight as well😂

Abit ironic if they do.

Either way, sometimes policy makers sometimes can be very oblivious.😂

1x, after yours :D

Hope you managed to get a bookmarked option! For both our sake, I’m just praying the price puts off as many people as possible for Dakota, or some wants a flat ASAP and goes for Macpherson, or they wanna save up a little and get Ubi instead, the last of the 3 estates to be ready! We both pray hard! Hahahahahaha.

My take about the unknown new scheme/benefits - I have this "give you a drumstick, take back a whole chicken" type of mentality already.

For those who want to try, wish you the best of luck! :)

Can still apply for Sept bto right as long as haven't select any unit?

Yes can still apply! Then when u select a unit, your bto application would automatically be cancelled.

My opinion is that if you have a good number this time round (which means likely selection before sept launch), you should go for your dream flat that’s available now. Next time you won’t know how lucky you are anymore.

But of cos if students/very young, in no hurry at all to get a flat then wait lor for the carrot. But I feel everyone who applied SBF have some urgency compared to BTO? Haha and like someone pointed out if raised income ceiling criteria = more competition coming in, lesser chance later.

I don’t think is higher grant amount (just speculating), if increase grant amount can immediately kick in for Sept, don’t need Budget meh? I see that to give more subsidies for the tertiary bursaries etc also not effective immediately, need set aside Budget?

Can't agree more. This is my 5th attempt and I finally got a decent number for SBF. 1x. Wouldn't know if I'd still be this lucky to get 1x in Sept's launch.

Looks like in my opinion, the best unit of Dakota is gone. #16-98. No west sun, high floor, view of the fireworks during national day and view of the rooftop garden from living room. Ballot #1 went straight for it.

My opinionated best for Macpherson also taken #15-52 by Ballot #2. People doing their homework. Hahahahaha.

Ballot #3 went for #15-116 of Dakota.

That’s 3 of my 10 bookmarks taken. That’s 3 of 3 Selection. Noooooooo.
