As predicted with the raised income ceiling, I think this new scheme will see more competition for the next balloting. As is, the balloting is tough enough, now you’ll have more applications.

The grants however, that’s a drastic improvement for sure!

Minister say " HDB will likely increase the BTO supply in 2020 to meet the anticipated additional demand for public housing arising from these changes. The board is on track to launching 15,000 flats this year."

More bto = more sbf= more rof.

Lol

Did they specify whether it would be applicable to us?

I have yet to apply for the grant.

It is only for Sept launch onwards, that’s why August launch was postponed to Sept for more people to benefit from the new announcements.

May sbf will not be eligible

I wonder if May's sale of balance will see a significant drop out.

Same sentiments...seeing that this May SBF doesn’t qualify for the new announcements and the enhanced grants serioislu is a huge improvement. More grant, more help, more money. Relaxed criteria somemore, so much easier to qualify e.g. regardless mature Esdras or not.

I read it as first time buyers from tomorrow onwards will be eligible.

Well...from news articles:

“Changes in place from Sept. 11
Both the EHG and the revised income ceilings will be implemented from Sept. 11.

For existing flat applications received before Sept. 11, HDB clarified that the EHG will not be applied retrospectively.

The HDB August sales exercise was previously pushed back to this month, a move made to ensure that more home buyers will benefit from these changes.”

Cos if not, no need to postpone Aug launch exercise actually. Postpone one month make everyone anxious haha

Means even yet book flats also not entitled for new schemes. Anyway no harm for me if cannot get shortlisted units, might go for resale

It should have min impact for BTO first time buyer except those buying mature estate and 5 room buyer.
For resale buyer, they benefit more cost they are get another 40k compared to last time.

As tampines is considered mature estate, first time buyer should give up this selection and apply again in sept in order to qualify for the addition 40K, total grand $80k.

Good luck to all.

Agree, might consider giving up as the grant is quite good. Btw can you let us know how many queue numbers today? Thank you!

Today 5 room tampines queue number range from 46 to 61, total 16 people call up for selection.

I guess would have a lot of leftover units after the final selection. It will be release for sale at the next SBF which may include the addition the 40k grand which is alot to me.
Worth to wait for the first timer right.
Good luck to all

So far 6 unit was selected today out of 16, I believe a lot first timer give up because of the grant.
Those first timer selected a unit on the first three days may consider giving up the $2000 deposit and apply again later in order to get the addition $40k grant.

I confirm not going for the selection because $40k to me is alot.

Thanks for the update! If they give up the unit, will their selection go back into the SBF pool for us to choose?

Sorry so far 8 units was selected out of the 16 people invited for the 5 room selection.

If my calculation is correct 10/16 units chosen for Tampines 4-room selection today.
So far 61 called, 46 units chosen. About 75% take up rate as of now. :s12:

Long way to go till it reaches my number. :s22:
