Quick q.. if my appt is coming 4th may, my cpf must have the sum for 10% downpay already? Reason I'm asking because i withdrew some amt out for investment stuffs. If i need the amt, I'll have to channel some of it back to my acct.

Why did the couples gave up?

Story telling time

Its knock off time and u are so hungry. You queued for public transport and finally reach your estate. There was a long queue at the chicken rice stall. When it was your turn, u are left with choices that are not favorable. The rest have taken their choice. After u made your selection, you are asked to pay 10%-20% more, when others paid standard prices. You are forced to paid for leftovers at a higher price.

Disclaimer: don't say never give u chance hor. Is give u liao, u reject :D - HDB

No idea. I have selected mine. So give some update to those whom wanted Kallang/Whampoa.

We only need to pay downpayment at 2nd appointment right?

Still no news, no letter for Punggol selection :( and May is approaching.. High likely delays?

Anyway guys, I would love to bargain with HDB for submitting marriage cert abt 1-4 months after collection of key. Do you think it is possible? Coz i intend to apply for grant though.

Signing of lease agreement will only take place after the grant(Which must be submitted during selection appt) has been approved.

You can delay submission of marriage cert, as long as you have those booking receipts etc etc to back up your claims.

but i believe should be somewhere in 3rd or last week of may ba.. as tpy and tamp still not yet started..

So far from the ppl who did and shared their experience, it seems easy and without much hassle..

Unless of cos the deferment is like 1 year after key collection then yea, will face some issue there.

My close friend defer his cert submission by 3-4 months..He nv mention any difficulty after he showed them the receipt of wedding dinner booking, solemnization date confirmation etc etc..

From the looks of it, selection should be end May. Earliest get letter is next week or so. Bukit Batok (which is the 1st for non-mature estate) is out just only.

Wonder why Jurong East/West was released earlier than Bkt Batok. Hmm...
