hi all, i recently gotten my keys for my SBF flat at punggol.
Found out that internal doors are hollow and cheap type..
Checked with neighbours, all their doors are solid and better quality ones which they paid $1800 in OCS.

My next door neighbour told me 1 day before i collect my keys, they noticed HDB came down and install those doors.

i checked with HDB officer, and they advise that they could not get the model of that door anymore, and if i don't want, they can refund me $1300 for removing all the 5 doors, or negotiate if i want to remove only a few.

i just want to check, is it ridiculous that they cut me off by $500?

anybody have encounter this before?

imo the hdb side was juz taking easier way out... for me i jus take the 1.3k n go find the doors tat i wan n fix them... i feel buaysong they handle the situation like tat. n i will take the refund n fix doors to my liking n maybe topup bit nia to get better doors...

Hdb are not known to use solid veneer for ocs door anyway, always semi solid..

A solid veneer should cost u like $350 at most outside..

My neighbour's doors are all very different from mine, seems like only my unit is the odd one out.

I am not too happy that there is a missing of $500 (all paid $1800 in OCS, but refund $1300)
And if I swap with the refund, I have to top up another $500-ish for solid doors

It is likely another model from another supplier..

Which project in Punggol btw?

that strange.. cos for sbf i thought they sell as what it is, how come got HDB come in then install the doors? can i said that unit already has been already opt in for OCS..
like that kind of refund. even you baeysong, take the back whatever refund from HDB, and go look out a door that you like ba.. felt aruging with HDB, will bring no where leh.. right? unless u really want to make the thing big big wor..

I also dunno why HDB come in and install the doors 1 day before key collection (or how true is that, but i believe my neighbour unless they like to stir).

Before and during purchase, we were told that this unit have doors.

It is what it is and I don't mind taking whatever refund, but just want to highlight we are accepting this $/quality discrepancy despite paying ~30k above BTO price.

Some can say we don't wait for 5 years like the rest, but to resell a new unit at current market price is as good as selling as a resale unit - just that buyers don't get to view the unit, and accept whatever that Hdb throws at us, LPPL.

I'm pretty sure when come times if market is bad, SBF will not sell lower price than BTO units at market value. For they are smart and cut us at every corner as possible.

Btw, before you selected that unit, have u site survey that unit outside like the main door etc..

Just received notification for my key collection appointment. It's less than 1.5 months from the selection date,pretty fast considering i did not request to expedite.
