Those extended to 23 Dec have statement on the 24th of each month? And extended to 15 Dec means statement on 16th of each month?

extended to 15 Dec means statement on 14th of each month. The date in the sms is the starting date for new billing cycle.

If I were to purchase an item priced in USD on Amazon and make the payment using this card via PayPal which converts it into SGD, will I incur any kind of admin or foreign transaction fees?

Usually PayPal forex rate already is quite killer...

Visa paywave can get 2% based on new benefits right?

Yes provided you already transited to the new TnC. Think existing card owners all transiting after the statement date in Dec. Anyway just 2%, may as well use DBS Visa debit for 5%.

Since PayPal will convert it to SGD, does it mean that only the amt in SGD will be charged to my CC? Can someone explain to me how it works?
Also, if I were to make payment in USD directly using CC, will it be cheaper than via PayPal?
Hope someone can enlighten me on online purchases in foreign currency using CC as well as via PayPal.

1) NEVER ever let Paypal convert it to SGD for you, let Paypal pay the transaction in the native currency of your transaction.

2) Irregardless of the way Paypal pays (either in SGD or native currency), the amount you pay in your SGD credit card will always be in SGD (unless yours is those few dual currency credit cards)

3) So why the hassle of doing Point (1) when Point (2), everything will eventually be in SGD anyway? Simply cos Paypal's conversion rate is inferior to Mastercard/Visa + bank's conversion rate. You will pay less by letting Paypal charge in native currency and letting the bank do the conversion.

For example, the total price of my intended purchase is US$40. If I were to charge it to the card in USD, the Bank will convert it into SGD and I will be charged with this SGD amt + 1% Visa fee + 2.5% processing fee. Am I right?
Are you saying that this SGD amt + 3.5% will definitely be cheaper than having Paypal do the conversion for me?
